[QUOTE=Pretee;1696]I'm new to this site- so hello everyone. I completely agree, when you are or feel overweight and your clothes don't hang as well as they should or did - sexiness, confidence etc fly out the door In my case the way I look normally directly translates to the way I'm feeling inside. I'm tired of not going out with friends because I'm worried that my clothes are too tight in the wrong places, or that my ass looks too big, or having to suck in my stomach for hours on end- honestly I have done this on many an occasion esp. when I've caught my reflection in a mirror I've put on a lot of weight over the last 2-3 yrs because I spend a lot of time at home, don't have a regular income so cannot workout in a gym plus many etcs. I hope we ladies can motivate each other to reclaim our sexiness- whatever that means

All the best everyone... and step away from the biscuits and the buttered toast... LOL[/QUOTe

Welcome aboard the Sexy train We are a great group of gals there for each other. I know exactly what you mean about clothes not fitting right...for awhile I fooled myself into thinking that the fashion industry was dominated by anorexic people, then I started looking at labels and told myself well look these clothes are made in china, Japan and the Phillipines all places known for small people. Then I resigned myself to the idea that I was just a BIG girl... a whole lotta woman (lol) Then one day I found some old pictures of me at my best and I realized that I was a very pretty person at one time and I'm obviously the same person so somewhere within me is a pretty girl? I just got back into exercising 2 weeks ago and I feel a difference already it is amazing !!! Check out your TV listings PBS has a really good program called Body Electric which comes on at 730am weekdays and is only 30 minutes long. The workouts are a mixture of low impact aerobics and toning that are easy to do and work. Each program has a warm up and cool down also. Remember when you're at your best it shows, you'll Glow and be your Sexy best!

Hey Sunny Girl,
Glad you joined are group. After reading your blog I thought you know what men can really be jerks and then I thought well sometimes we girls can be pretty mean too! It is hard when people say things out of anger that are mean because even when they apologize we have trouble forgetting those hurtful words ha? Earlier when I was at the gym I was kinda people watching and caught myself thinking negatively about people around me who were worse off than me Then I guess I kinda got mad at myself because they were just like me trying to get healthier and I always think people must look at me and think what a cow! So, I've decided that I'm going to work on being more accepting of everyone. I mean if we did this as a society the world would be a much nicer place ha? Wow, what a rant ha-ha! Anyways, welcome aboard were happy to have you join us on our journey to Sexyville

hello Friends. I can't remember the last time I truly felt sexy. I feel like men look through me now. My husband can do or say the smallest things but they break my heart. I want to confident again. I have some great clothes but I feel rediculous in them. I am making a change though. I joined the Scale Down Alabama Challenge and plan to loose more than 10lbs in the next 10 weeks. My husband, another couple and I are on a team; so I will have plenty of support. I'm so fired up! Good luck to all of you. The only thing standing in our way is ourselves.

Unhappy No Xenical for me :(

Just came from the Dr's - got my script for Xenical - was so happy then tried to fill and it was a no go
Not covered by insurance and would cost me $300...NOT !
So I'm gonna try the Alli instead
Actually since the Alli is half the strength it will probably be better because less of the nasty side effects. So wish me luck ladies!

Smile Plantar's facitiis

Got a Wii, used it for a week, and now have tennis elbow...Plantar's facitiis in my right foot makes step aerobics impossible! But I resolved to 30 mins a day and I did go on the treadmill this morning. I also don't want to give up my 1 to3 glasses of wine a night. So husband and I decided we'd just not open a bottle tonight and see if we can manage without vino. (If we can't I might have to join another forum for winos)!

Hey mepgirl...went to Dr's today and was diagnosed with plantar's fascitis of my left heel. He told me: while sitting in a chair- to use a tennis ball placed under affected foot apply gentle pressure/ stepping down and roll ball back in forth..it will hurt but this exercise stretches the muscle/ tendons in that region. After exercise if foot is sore apply ice for 15 minutes and treat severe pain with Ibuprofen. Hope this helps

Wow, What a great thread going here! I too am on my way to a sexier me. Decided, a couple of weeks ago that I was sick of myself and I'm the only one who can change that, so hopped back onto my fitday acct (after 2 years away) and discovered all the new changes here.
The forums are Fantastic and I love how 'active' they are. I have checked out other forums and sometimes it's days before anyone responds to posts or posts anything new.
MSMarilyn~You are the ultimate cheerleader!

MsMarilyn...I did join the alli page...but I found it VERY confusing...that was when I found this site and am using it instead...I don't like the "menu" that they give me and it doesn't show you what happens when you change a meal for the day to the rest of the day. I find the support and the food log here to be sooooo much more helpful. Sunny Girl...no I haven't started working out yet...I have been having an issue with my back that has been keeping me away from a gym...but I am planning on rejoining Curves now that our local branch has gone 24/7. Had a good day with my eating and am hoping I can stay on this track for the long run. Need to keep up with my water intake though...funny I do better with regulating fat intake than I do with water intake...I can't drink water all day with my job...I teach, and when I get home I treat myself to a decaf diet pepsi so fluid intake is a huge problem for me.

Love that episode of Seinfeld....well I love them all!
I know Exactly what you mean, I am tired of feeling fat & frumpy! It really bugs me when I am having a good day, feel like I look okay and then days later see a pic and think "HOW did I think THAT looked okay!?" Yep...those days will soon be a distant memory! Movin' on, hopping on the 'Sexy Train'....WooooWooooo
Chris~I have trouble with water intake too. Many days I have appointments right back to back and it's all I can do to clean my work area, wash my hands and set up for next appt. If I drink water all day, I need to find extra time to pee too! lol I guess what I need to do is to re-think how I handle my schedule and give myself a few minutes between appts. I do keep a water bottle next to me 80% of the time, ( I would have said 99%, but I don't have one here right now...lol) but I just don't think to drink.
