I know someone recently posted something about a good carb blocker...can't remember the name of it and I was wondering if it was one of those pills you have to take 1/2 hour before you eat or if you can take it with your meal...the reason I like alli is b/c I can take it with my meal...I NEVER remember to take the 1/2 hour before pills so they sit in my cupboard and go bad. Please let me know...b/c my fat and calories are good...but my carbs are still too high.

Chrispearson, Great News you take Carb Intercept immediately before meals containing starch. I bought my Alli but haven't started yet I want to wait until my days off to kinda get use to it first...scared of side effects

The only time I have had any side effects is when I go way over in the fat department at a meal...that is a BIG no no and they even say that in their info...it is one of the ways of teaching you to stay in the fat limits Thanks for the carb info

Went and picked up some Carb Intersept with Phase 2 yesterday...found it at Walgreens...I am hoping it will help with my carb intake. Weigh in tomorrow and I am stressing...I haven't had a lot of sleep this past week b/c of a back issue and so I know that I have been "snacking" more b/c it's what I do when I am stressed...also Mother Nature is coming to visit on Monday and I don't know what that will do to my weigh in...almost wish I had started the program this upcoming week b/c I know I have always weighed more during that wonderful week during the month. I am going to curves tomorrow to sign back up...exercise will not hurt my back issue and so I am going to give it a try...heck we all know get moving and burn those calories Hope everyone had a successful weekend...tomorrow I don't have to lesson plan...so I am saved from the temptation of B.K. for a week

I'm also being visited by Aunt Flo....(UGH) I was supposed to weigh in Monday I'm not sure I may just wait until Friday b/c that is the first day I started Alli. The Alli seems to by fine today on my first day my stomach was kinda flip/floppy? Make sure to check with the Curve's instructor before doing all the exercises ...the squat machine may aggravate your back. Don't forget to take your vitamins Take Care of you! I did weigh in this morning and lost 1lb...not as big a loss as last week...but honestly with the week I had last week and Mother nature looming 1lb is really good! I actually got a full night's sleep last night...bought a wedge pillow to sleep on to keep me at a full recline while in bed...started taking vitamins with iodine in them as well...have read that it might help my back and since I am not a table salt eater and many diet foods now use sea salt it would be a good bet my iodine levels are low...at this point just happy I slept. Everyone have a super Sunday and get ready to start the week off sexier than the week before

Hello, ladies,
I've been off the boards for awhile b/c my laptop has a virus and is in the "hospital." I don't often have time to go in the other room to the desktop and just read, let alone write. However, ds is napping and dh is - somewhere - so I have a bit of time today.
It's great to see/hear of everyone's progress and welcome to all the new posters. A local gym in our area is looking for "non-exercising volunteers" for a 21-day program. I know it will eventually be a membership push, but for now I get 3 sessions a week with a trainer for 3 weeks. I've done 1 session and he is fabulous, so I'm looking forward to the rest. We're going to VA on spring break and the condos have an indoor pool, so I really want to be able to take ds in the pool and let him have fun. I've ordered a swimsuit - now I have 6 weeks to get myself to a place where I won't be humiliated - embarrassed maybe, but not humiliated.
I should get the laptop back Tuesday, so I look forward to hearing everyone's good reports from the weekend.
Go, us!

Virginia sounds awesome! Local gym sounds cool hey I'd take the free 3 weeks too -good deal maybe memberships won't be too much? It's very healthy to get away and do something for yourself The more healthy you're the better you can care for dh and ds too Keep up the good work and you'll look great in your new bathing suit.

The gym deal sounds great! Use it for all its worth and try to learn as much from your trainer as possible that way if you don't join you will still have some useful tools to keep you motivated and moving in the right direction! Virginia sounds like a good motivation tool Just imagine yourself turning heads in your bathing suit (in a good way ) Hope everyone has a really great Monday! Christine
