LOL, does brain bleach hurt? I probably need a rinse out myself.

If you ever go to your favorite buffet and see a sign like this, they may be trying to give you a hint.

If you didn't laugh at that, you may have something wrong with you.
I totally cracked up over this. It must be from John Pennet's neighborhood. I don't know if you ever saw him but he used to be on comedy central every now and again. The guy is maybe 500-600 lbs, and did this funny bit about how he took the "All You Can Eat" Chinese buffet as a challenge. Hilarious.

Gutter? Just hoping they don't get into your game, but it's probably still updating.

Tori, no word yet. I've been pacing the floor.

Monday Check-in

Goals:

1. 1,500 calories M-F, not more than 2,000 SS. 1,984 over by pizza leftovers ugh.
2. Exercise 5 hours. 60 min
3. WATER 100 OZ/DAILY (have really slipped on this one lately). Y
4. Protein 25% or higher, carbs 50% or less.

Other:

1. Wrap all the gifts. N
2. Take kids shopping for DH (Wednesday). N
3. Make Christmas cookies. N
4. Clean house top to bottom. Fish tank, part kitchen & laundry.
5. Write Christmas letter and send out Christmas cards. N

Yesterday I took the oldest 2 to the orthodontist. The bad news is that they both likely need braces, CHA-CHING CHA-CHING! The good news is that neither one of them is ready for the whole bit yet, neither one requires an expander (at least not yet) so the wallet drain won't start for at least a year. He also said that he probably can have oldest DD's teeth done before middle DD has to start, and middle done before the youngest starts, if it comes to that.

I gotta get going, we're making more gingerbread houses today, and the kids have to go to their regular dentist today. I called my mom last night to check on the babies and they are both doing fine and playing together in the storage tote. Too too funny.

Tuesday Morning Check In
Goals:

1. 750 Deficit: 751
2. 3 L: 2, .5
3. Take Vitamin: Yes, Yes
4. Sleep 8 hours: 8
5. Walk 3mi: 4.18, 1.52

Cassie: Awww! Yay! Steg is so sweet I’m sure that you’d love him! You should have seen his face this morning- I went on a walk without him for the first time ever and he just looked at me with those big brown eyes like I was breaking his heart! PPD won’t become a PD for a while. I like them and everything, but I was in two very serious, long-term relationships back to back from the time that I was 14 – 20. I just can’t handle legitimately dating right now- dating is like having a full time job that you only get paid in sexual favors for. Sexual favors won’t pay my rent or pass my exams. :P

Almeeker: Aren’t human stud fees what men get paid at the Sperm Bank?

Mike: I did not like that picture at all!! @_@

edahlt: It is just so tempting to get (and justify) 1 (or 10) mochas while you’re studying! I’ve taken to doing situps when I get tired because my caffeine habit was horrendous towards the end there!

'morning all. Yesterday was a mix of progress on the home and heart stuff, not so much on the diet and fitness. It started when I was cleaning out the freezer and found 1 last and lonely apple tart. It was in a big box taking up room, but the cooking directions were on the box, so I couldn't separate them. So what's a girl to do?? I ate it for breakfast! . Ah well, Sunday was a big calorie burn with an 11 mile run. And now I have a lot more room in the freezer.

I woke up this morning with one of my older goal in mind: be grateful for all you have, all you have been given, and all the peace and joy in my life. I am one lucky girl.

Goals:
Diet and fitness
1. Keep calories under 1800 - roughly my maintenance level
M=N Fail big time
2. Keep white foods to a minimum and avoid sweets.M=N (Apple tart for b’fast & 2 sourdough rolls)
3. Run 2 times - one long run, one hill training run
M=N(not yet)
4. Work on "double unders" (jump rope where the rope goes under you feet 2 times for every hop)
M=N(not yet)
5. Work on chataranga (yoga push ups. I have been doing them wrong which is tearing up my shoulders. When done correctly one uses a lot of back muscles rather than relying on arm strength alone.)
M=N(not yet)
6. Log all food - good, bad, or indifferent
M=Y (not pretty)

Home and Heart
7. Finish wrapping
M=Y
8. Tune up skis
9. Make holiday calls to 4 friends
M=Y (2)
10. Get performance evaluations done
M=N (echh)
11. Tidy up garage before leaving
M=Y started

Bindi - crushed by 3.5 oz? naah, ain't no big thing. That's less that a cup of tea in your tummy

Darlene - your day of tea and coffee with friends sounds like my idea of heaven! Glad you enjoy such a wonderful day.

edahlt - great suggestion about plating dinner and putting the left overs away right away. I think I'll try that

Cassie - what's with the shoulder exercises? PT?

Amy - MORE gingerbread houses? I think you have created a monster, how are you ever going to get your kitchen cleaned up? . It seems like your orthodontist is a good one, willing to work with you on scheduling the girls. Many just seem in such a rush - gotta do in NOW! as if the kid's mouth will fall apart next month.

mhibdon - what a great idea to take a sit-up break. Hard to get started, but I am sure the benefits were awesome - clear the mind, activate the body, and then get back to studying.

Mike - how's your back these days?

Exclamation opinions needed

I'm trying to figure out what to get my GF for Christmas and I think I know what I'm going to get. I was thinking about getting her a ring with her girls birthstones. Good idea or bad idea? The only thing that's holding me back is I know what she's going to think when she sees the box. I don't want her to get excited and open it and then get let down. I figured that if I put that it was from the kids as well then maybe she may not get the wrong impression before opening it.

Pam, my back is doing much better, thanks. Congrats on the 11 miler!!

MH, .5 liter, really?? 1.52 miles?? Get busy.

Amy, It's your turn.

Just did some quick looking online, those rings can be tacky. Is it a thing of the past?

1. DEAR SWEET JESUS DO NOT GIVE HER ANYTHING IN A TINY BOX!!!
Tie the ring to a piece of ribbon with a tag that explains it. Then hang the ring on the tree in a place that she'll have to see, but is also out of reach from the spawn and fur-babies.

2. Hush you. I'm working on it.
