Keeping me accountable

Had a really nice weekend, spent a bit of time outside working on getting the weeds out of my garden, managed to get a little sun so I don't look quite so pasty. For Mothers day my DH bought me an unbrella clothes dryer for the back yard. I have been asking for one for over a year as I love hanging the wash out. He won't let me have a full clothes line as he insists they make the yard look a mess.......MEN!!!! Probably overdid it a little with my foot, but it was worth it to accomplish so much.
I did weigh myself this morning and I am 151.9 minus whatever the cast weighs, so I am doing great, still not going to set it in stone until the cast is gone in 10 more days, so for now my signature will remain the same. Haven't checked my measurements in weeks but a girlfriend yesterday asked if I was loosing weight, when I told her yes she said she could tell because my boobs are disappearing.

OMG you are doing so well. You should be so proud of yourself. Isn't it great when people notice? I used to love the fresh smell of laundry dried outside when my kids were young but I'm afraid because I'm out of the house all day now and our weather is so unpredictable, I use my tumble drier most times. Glad you caught some rays, I love being outside when it's warm, keep on enjoying your enforced rest.

In the past when I had an outside dryer I didn't dry the clothes in the house all summer, but then I wasn't working the kind of weird hours I work now. When I am working I can only do laundry on the weekend so if it rains I will have no choice but to use the indoor dryer. But right now with being off work there is nothing stopping me from doing a load or two every few days as the weather permits.
I have been suffering from insomnia the last few nights, this happens to me about once a year, last night I only got one hour of sleep, the night before I got 2 so I am feeling like a total bag at the moment. This is tough for me where eating is concerned because I am awake an extra 6 or 7 hours and the boredom can cause me to eat. I did OK last night except for the peice of homemade peanut brittle I could have left alone. I was hoping to get a few hours of shut eye this morning, but the weather today is the nicest we have seen so far this year and I have so much work I want to do in the garden, will wait and see which one wins out.

Hope you got out into the garden. I like to alternate weeding etc with 40 winks when it's really warm out there, best of both worlds lol. My work is crazy at present but I'm just home, showered and too tired to do anything much, except finish this, check my mail etc and head off to bed. Catch you later

I did get out in the garden for a little while yesterday, but mostly I was too tired to do anything except keep my husband company while he turned over the ground ready for planting my veggies, and built a frame for the mesh to cover my strawberries so the birds don't get them before I do. My laptop died last night, needs a new harddrive, so I am currently using my sons and the keyboard is so different that I actually have to watch what I am typing so I don't keep making errors, the screen is also tiny so even with the font size increased my old eyes are having a tough time seeing what I am doing. Hubby is going out to try and find a new harddrive for my old girl. She may be old but she has never done me wrong (until now)
Weather today looks like it may be better than yesterday, so after a good night of sleep I plan to be out there catching some much needed sun on my poor lily white legs.

Stayed overcast all day yesterday so didn't go out much at all. I do have my laptop back, my wonderful husband fixed it for me, put in the new harddrive and reloaded it. Only problem is I lost everything I had on it, pictures, emails etc. Oh well such is life. The sun is shining early this morning, the weatherman says rain later today so I guess if I want to get outside I need to do it this morning. Might take a run to the Fruit and Veg Market I am getting low on the necessities, I love having the market close to my house, in fact everything is in walking distance and with the price of gas right now I would rather walk, of course this will be much easier when the cast comes off.

I know I shouldn't weigh myself every day but this is a habit I can not break, every morning when I wake up I go to the bathroom, and afterwards I strip down and weigh myself. And this morning I was below 150 for the first time in what feels like forever, even counting in the cast that will come off Thursday, my weight this morning was 149.6. I was so happy I had to wake my husband up(he doesn't do well with 6 am on a Sunday morning) I am less than 10 lbs from my initial goal, which of course may change the closer I get to it. Speaking of the husband, he is much more affectionate lately, now I have to wonder if he always accepted me the way I was as he said, or if he really wanted a smaller wife, or maybe my attitude about myself is what is making the difference. Guess that is something worth looking into.

It's probably the positive vibe that you are giving off, and maybe you are less uptight about your body which he has picked up on. Whatever it is, enjoy the attention, you soooo deserve it, under 150, that's awesome. Hope the cast removal goes well, I will be about more the next few days to check up on you. Can't wait to see how many lbs that cast weighs.

So today is my 17th wedding anniversary, hubby wanted to take me out somewhere nice for dinner and I asked if we could wait until the weekend, I just don't feel like getting dressed up with this great big lump on the end of my foot. I still won't be throwing on the strappy high heel pumps on the weekend, but I can at least wear a pair of sparkly sandals. He asked me for suggestions on where I would like to go as he knows I am doing the weight loss journy, I told him anywhere was fine as I can turn any menu into a positive with the right choices. I did have one request though and that was could we go for a walk afterwards, after having the cast on for 3 weeks I just want to walk outside in the fresh air. This weekend starts the beginning of the tourist season in Niagara Falls, so I can tell you the one place I will not be walking near.
Of course the other thing happening this weekend is I will be planting my vegatable garden, I have an idea of what I am putting in this year and that definatly will not include 12 tomato plants like I did last year, I am the only one in the house that eats them and I still have bags and bags of them in the freezer from last summer and I still have enough jars of Salsa in my cold storage to feed most of Mexico. My garden is 36' long and 12' wide, one end is taken up with raspberries, strawberries, gooseberries and if I haven't killed them a couple of blueberry bushes. I also have a separate herb garden off my back door which is already planted as everything came back from last year except the rosemary.

Happy Anniversary. It's good that you can go out for a meal and choose well. Me, I'm better to not eat all day then try to be fairly sensible. It's helpful if I'm out with sharers as we can order one bowl of fries between us and then i can just pick a few and let them finish them. I do try to pick the most healthy choices, like fish or chicken and i now ask for salad as my main side, so i am getting better......most times!!
