As of this morning we have had 16 days of rain this month, and today is only the 18th. Those are the only 2 days I was able to hang the laundry out. Supposed to finally clear up this weekend in time for garden planting, but its going to be awfully muddy.

So yesterday I made a lovely dinner for our anniversary and what a waste of time. Son number 2 was home sick all day so didn't eat, and hubby had a dentist appointment and was still in pain so didn't eat either. Son number 1 and I enjoyed it though and they are all getting it as leftovers for dinner tonight. I will probably just make a salad for myself.

My cast came off yesterday and I seem to have lost feeling in my big toe and the top of my foot, the doctor things because of all the needles they had to give me for freezing it may have damaged the nerve, and it will probably never improve, if its going to get better it should within 3 months, if not then there is nothing that can be done about it. I don't know how this will affect my plans to start running again. I had even hoped to do a half marathon in Toronto next year. Guess I will have to wait and see.

Learned 2 things yesterday the cast only weighed 1 lb and when I weighed myself the other day and was in the 140's the scale was on crack, I haven't managed to weigh in the 140's since then until today. I will report my official weight on Monday as usual, and I think its time to do my measurements again, clothes are definatly getting bigger.

Ok sorry to hear about your possible complication, but good to know that you are out of the cast, i know when I got out of mine it was such a weird feeling for a few days but sooooo good. Things are going well in your weight loss trip and I am really happy for you, I only wish I had your will power. My poor pussy cat seems a bit under the weather and as it has lasted for a few days it's a trip to the vets tomorrow. I am suffering from hay fever as well and my eyes look like I have been out boozing all night for weeks. I'm on a low at the moment because of work problems and my allergies and no shift in my weight.

Today was the nicest weather day we have had in weeks, got my veggie garden, my fruit garden and my herb garden all planted, can't wait to start eating the fruits of my labours. New additions this year were a blueberry bush, & a black current bush, and in the veggies the only new things I added were lettuce and radishes. In the herb garden I planted new basil, rosemary, thyme and one thing I have never seen before, curry. Skipped carrots and turnips this year as they didn't do well last year and are usually pretty cheap in the store. I may have gotten a little too much sun on my back, but at the same time the weather forcast is for rain the next 2 weeks so I am not too concerned. I am going to bed soon as I have to get up at 3 am to pick my son up from work(why do 15 year old kids have to work til 3 am????) The next two nights he is working until midnight so not as bad, but someone needs to tell his boss that my bed time is 10 pm.

It goes to show that a month of inactivity will play havoc with your system, I did my official Monday weigh in today and I am in the 140's still but only just and the only place I have lost any inches is my chest, which I am sure will thrill my husband to know. Some how I plan to reach my 30 lb weight loss by next Monday, that would mean I have to find a way to get my butt moving this week. I think I better start journalling my foods again, I have been pretty lax about that the past few weeks because of course I know enough now to figure out what calorie count I am at. Wrong and a great example of that is dinner last night. I bought frozen prime rib burgers for the guys and figured I would have one with no bun and lots of salad, when I was throwing out the box this morning I see that one patty is 380 calories OUCH!!!!! So back to reading labels and counting everything going in. With any luck I will be back to work next week, on modified duties but still out of the house and away from the fridge.

Enjoying the long weekend, the weather hasn't been nearly as bad as originally forcast.

In the 40s is way better than in the 50s. It sounds better and i bet it looks better too. Know what you mean about reading labels, some things that i used to eat without a thought now frighten me when i see the calorific value. Had a good day today but will that make up for my three day weekend of garbage.... I don't think so, but i'll try. Even had a 30 min quick walk today, first in a while, but not the last.

I am hoping to be able to get a pair of shoes on today so I can go for a walk, I am feeling so sendentary, my house is so close to all amenities that I would never have to use my car except for work, I don't plan on walking miles just yet, but to the grocery store would even be a treat.

I was really good yesterday and logged everything I ate or drank, even the iced coffee from Timmies at 110 cal for a medium, won't be drinking too many of them any more. I was still able to stay around the 1000 cal for the day so its all good.

Pity about your walk. I wanted to have 1/2 to myself for exercise today but have just got home from work (21:45) and my neck is very painful from being on the computer non stop so it's an anti-inflammatory, a hot shower and bed for me.

First of all no walk yesterday, I guess my foot is still more swollen than I realized, I couldn't even get my shoe on let alone worry about fastening it. I decided to start working on my belly flab though and did 100 crunches, I am beginning to think it may be the only way to get rid of the spare tire completely. It has definatly shrunk, it no longer looks like a pair of car tires and is now more like a dirt bike tire, but I would be happier if it looked like a bicycle tire.

Anyway I am going to be challenged over the next few days, one of my husbands best friends lost her dad on Monday so after he gets home from work this evening we are heading out, the funeral is tomorrow at 10 am and its an 8 hour drive from here to Boston Massechusettes. He wants to leave here around midnight and drive all night, spend the day there tomorrow and come home Friday, she wants us to spend the weekend and bring the boys with us, guess we will know what we are doing as the day goes on. If we take the boys the youngest would miss his school soccer tournament tomorrow and we would have to be back in time Sunday for the older one to get to work. Probably going to be the flying visit, I just hope my foot is OK to help with the driving, after working all day I don't want the DH to have to do the whole thing on his own. I have never been to a big Cuban funeral but if I know this bunch I am going to have a really tough time with food etc. So my plans for today are to pack our clothes, pack some healthy snacks for the drive and hopefully a nap for a few hours so I am awake to drive.

I hopped on the scale this morning as I always do and I am down the 30 lbs exactly, not reporting it as I have no idea what the next few days will bring. Amazing what a couple of days of journalling my food will do for me.

Hope you aren't too tired with all the travelling. I'm sure you will cope with the food and make good choices if you can, you are much stronger than me. Monday should show another drop for you I hope, you are doing so well, when I get back from my trip I am going to buckle down and the next goal I make I WILL reach it.
