12 Ways to Burn 600 Calories in One Hour


Sticking with a diet of 1500 to 2200 calories per day can be tough, particularly for those of us who need a lot of food to stay active. Thankfully, there's always exercise to help us burn off any extra calories we ate during the day.

Want to burn 600 calories in an hour? You'll find it's not as hard as you might think:

1. High Impact Aerobics

General aerobics are great and can burn 605 calories in one hour for those over 200 pounds. For those around 180 pounds, you'll need to do an hour of high-impact aerobics to get that 600-calorie burn.

2. Basketball

A competitive game of basketball can burn about 650 to 750 calories in an hour, provided you really hustle as you play the game. Don't stop running, and make those full court breaks as often as you can to hit the 600-calorie mark before the hour is up.

3. Boxing

Want to blast 600 calories in under an hour? A boxing match in a ring will burn at least 700 calories, while general sparring with be closer to 600. No matter how small or light you are, hitting the boxing gym hard is a great way to torch 600 calories.
