Ha! I forgot I had tuna in the pantry (zero carb, zero sat fat) which brought my sat fat percentage back in line at 12% So with the changes I made, my noodle indulgence will wind up costing me only one serving of veggies in trading my turkey chili for a protein shake with flaxmeal. The shake and flaxmeal I added total only one net carb and are packed with vitamins and minerals.

So the moral of the story is: if I give in to temptation, it's better to do it early enough in the day that I can do something to minimize the damage. Yeah, right--now if only I could put that info into practice...

Mern If we practiced everything we know we would both be 120 pounds of muscle! I'm hoping to keep practicing it this time to avoid regaining.

My birthday celebration is a trip to Disneyworld with all the kids later this month so it's not hard for me to work the actual day, in fact I'm looking forward to it. I usually take this week off. I think I went through my senior's crisis last year when I was thinking of retiring. Once I decided not too I've been looking forward to getting the old age pension! I think I'll spend my first check on a trip to Vegas or a paddle board. LOL Mary

Quinn, the heat index right now is 107* and I still have to go to the gym so you may not get 3 miles out of me today. Tomorrow is supposed to get to 115*!

Tuesday Report

Health & Fitness Goals

1. Calories 1,500 max. 2,632, 1,499
2. Water 96 oz min. Y,Y
3. Exercise 6 hours for the week. 0 min, 0 min I have to get my butt back on that horse tomorrow morning NO EXCUSES.
4. Calorie deficit 3,500. +664, -511 (total +153)

Other

5. Shovel out house. Living room + part of kitchen, living room + some kitchen + dining room

I was more on track today with calories, and I actually feel quite quite full now after dinner, so hopefully there won't be a snacking issue. Worked on the house, but it's too hot to move quickly, so I did take quite a few breaks. Got some sorting and organizing done, which was much easier without the kiddos here. I miss them though.

I did not remind my mother about how she used to pack us off to grandma's house for a couple of weeks every summer. She has a drama brewing at her house, so today was not the day... She has such a big heart. My nephew's GF and her whole family found themselves suddenly homeless. I don't know the whole situation, but the nephy called grandma in a panic as he realized he was helping to move the GF's stuff into a shed. So apparently my parents have a whole family + 4 dogs, living with them for the time being. Anyway I told her that if there wasn't a bed for little DD I would gladly have her come home. But I guess they have it worked out. The GF gets along very well with DD, so they are making a party out of it.

As for exercise I had planned to go for a 4 mile walk with a friend this morning, but when I called to see if she was ready I woke her up, she had a really late night and wasn't feeling it. After I hung up I decided to go by myself, but then mom called with the whole drama business and that was the end of my attempt. Ugh, why do I let the little things stop me?

Mern and Mary, I would so be 120lbs or less if I practiced what I know to be true about my body and diet + exercise. Unfortunately I'm very prone to temptation. The devil and I eat very well when we're together.

Ok, we'll call it even for today. I just got back from an out of town shopping trip with the daughter and I'm out of energy and she cleaned my wallet out of money... lol. It's raining here tonight, so I'm going to work on college apps. until midnight or so to make up for the day I took off today.

I won't tell anyone that we didn't walk tonight if you don't... deal??
