Being able to incorporate healthy cooking methods into your everyday life is the easiest way to lose weight and keep it off. Instead of using fad diet methods, this technique can help you change the way you eat food for the rest of your life. There are actually some simple, yet tasty and effective cooking methods you can use to bring some of your favorite foods to life so you can enjoy what you eat without all the guilt.

Broiling

You can create some great tasting dishes using the broiler in your oven. For example, instead of frying your chicken in a pan on the stove top or baking your fish, you can season them and place them on parchment paper on the top shelf of the oven. Broiling chicken and fish helps keep the juices in the meat so there is never a dry bite. You can also roast vegetables using this technique without having to use a lot of oil.

Baking

Instead of using a deep fryer or pan frying fries, consider baking them. You can use different flavors such as red pepper flakes, garlic, chili powder and basil to create your own special blend that is full of flavor but light on the fat, as the fries don't need more than a quick spray of oil when they are baked in the oven. You can even make your own potato chips in this manner. Baking chicken that has been covered in crushed corn flakes or seasoned corn meal provides an excellent alternative to fried chicken.

Grilling

This is yet another of the healthy cooking methods you should consider incorporating into your life on a consistent basis. You don't need a big elaborate grill in order to create a scrumptious meal, and in fact a small portable gas grill that you can use right outside your back door works great. Consider grilling veggies like corn and squash, meats like shrimp and steak, and starchy foods like potatoes to create an entire meal that's healthy, delicious and very low in fat.

Sautéing

This is one of the best healthy cooking methods for stir fry meals and vegetable medleys. Meats can also be sautéed to preserve their texture, flavor and moisture without the need for a lot of oil. Because you can use sesame and canola oils to sauté your food, you are getting the healthy fats you need in your diet that will help fill you up and keep you satisfied until it's time to eat again.

With a little creativity, these techniques can be applied to just about any kind of food. Being able to switch up your cooking methods throughout the week will help to keep things exciting so you don't get bored with the same kinds of meals. Think outside the box and try new things like grilling lemon slices to add to broiled fish or broiling cheese over French bread to create a tasty homemade pizza.
