Can Cell Phones Cause Sterility?

Men are famously able to breed throughout their lifespan, although newer research indicates that a loss in sperm quality takes place around the age of 50. Amongst a relatively new urban legend is that cell phones cause impotence, based on studies that have crept over the years as the world becomes ever more technological. So is there any truth to the theory?

The answer seems to depend on the study. Some studies have shown a connection between cell phone usage and lower sperm count, while other studies have shown no such correlation. In summation, an official verdict remains unclear. Overall, most scientists remain skeptical that a cell phone can cause sterility. However, there may be a link between cell phone use and erectile dysfunction.

A study found that men with ED tend to use their cell phones for longer periods of time than men without ED. So if you are suffering from erectile dysfunction, then you may want to consider easing up on how much time you spend on a cell phone. But keep in mind that the study was small and limited and somewhat inconclusive given that a previous study found different results.

Although mainstream science remains skeptical and undecided about a link between erectile function and cell phone, the natural health world has other ideas. Because of the possible link between cell phone use and brain cancer, it is recommended that you go hands-free and keep your phone away from your body when using it or carrying it. Try a briefcase or messenger bag rather than carrying your cell in a pocket. Use the speakerphone function rather than a Bluetooth device and you can also pair your phone with an electromagnetic field (EMF) protection product to protect your body from radiation.
