You're Gonna Love Puppy Pilates — Here's Everything You Need to Know

Yes, it's as cute as it sounds.

Could there be anything better than hanging out with a group of puppies for an hour? Well, I’m happy to inform you that the answer to that question is "yes" because there is something called puppy pilates.

We’ve spoken about yoga with various animals before, and this concept is essentially the same, which indicates that workouts with animals have become a new trend. But the reason this one may be the most appealing of them all is that canines are known to be great to workout with and they are often used in rehabilitation.

At the end of 2017, puppy pilates started to make headlines after a boutique studio called Cisco Pilates in Asheville, North Carolina, announced that they would be hosting pilates classes, surrounded by adorable puppies. The studio partnered with a local charity, the Asheville Humane Society, to offer classes for just $10 with proceeds going to the organization — which houses and cares for animals in the area. In addition, for all those participants who fell in love with their furry friends on the day, they were fortunate enough to have the possibility of taking them home, and the adoption fees were waived on the day of the class.

There were only two classes, both of which sold out, so it’s clear that there is a need for this kind of activity. It’s a beautiful idea, and it’s doing a lot of good. Pilates, an exercise that consists of a series of movements which are meant to strengthen your core, is good for your body, but it's a pro seeing these puppies and getting cuddles.

And if you can’t get to a puppy pilate class near you, you can always try to do it at home with your own adorable pooch surrounding you. I mean, this is one way to make exercising fun, right?
