Hello friends, and happy weekend!

Good going and congrats to all who showed a loss this week. Waynegretzky, I'm really happy to hear that you feel like your motivation is back in a big way.

Yunalee - My opinion is that this whole lifestyle change has ups and downs - and not just scale-wise, mentally as well. Waynegretzky described how he mentally just was not as into it as he was, and now he is again. So, there are definitely peaks and valleys, and we all experience them. The biggest thing is to not give up - try every single day to go after your goals. If you need to just focus on changing one thing for one week at a time, then do that. Eliminating boxed dinners is a good place to start, and something that I did as well. Take it in little doses - you don't have to change everything at once. Break it down into small goals. You can do anything you set your mind to - but it helps not to overwhelm yourself. If we can help in any way, just ask; I know we're all cheering for you.

your right change. i put together the food i'm going to donate. the worse for me is seeing that in a few weeks i ate 7 boxes of KD. i'm glad i'm going to get rid of the rest and a few other foods i know i won't eat to others that probably could use this food.

the big reson i want to lose weight, is for my wedding, i'm engaged with no set date just yet. but i want to lose the weight so i can have wedding photos where i look great and so i wouldn't be upset in the future seeing myself fat at my own wedding.

A couple points... Weight loss is a fine lline to walk. The last three/four months i have been eating super healthy... but just too much of it. The beauty is when you eat healthy, you don't really gain weight like you do when you eat packaged/processed/ or fast foods. But maintaining motivation to lose weight has been hard, but now it has all changed again and i am super excited to get below 190 lbs at some point.

One thing i did do was try to remain focused every day even though i was unsuccessful, every day i woke up and thought about proper size portions and healthy foods and losing weight again.

I think it is important to just keep carrying on each day and try and not give up ever until we reach our goals no matter how lofty they seem. It's hard for me to believe but i have been doing this now for 1 1/2 years!! Wow amazing!!

Yuna, you had said: the big reson i want to lose weight, is for my wedding, i'm engaged with no set date just yet. but i want to lose the weight so i can have wedding photos where i look great and so i wouldn't be upset in the future seeing myself fat at my own wedding.

I think I probably said this before somewhere, but this is exactly what happened to my husband and I. It's sad to say, but we don't have any of our wedding pictures up because we are both very unhappy with how we looked at that time (we were both about 50# heavier than we are now). I think my husband looked wonderful, 50# heavier and all, and I loved my dress, and I wake up every day thrilled to be married to him - but yet, our wedding pictures don't make us feel happy. Pretty crappy! Anyway, my point here is that it's really great motivation to change your lifestyle now, before all those cameras start snapping away. For me, I really didn't realize how fat I was until the day before our wedding (a bit too late to change anything for those pix, eh? haha). Maybe one day I'll have achieved some inner peace about the whole thing and will put up a picture or 2, but for now... When we're at goal, I would like for us to get some formal pix taken of the 2 of us, that would be fun.

Sorry for the rant; I was really just trying to show you some encouragement! One thing that keeps me motivated, related to the marriage thing, is that I want to do everything I can to be around as long as I can so we can enjoy each other for as a long as possible.
