I did alright today, didn't call grandma, but my mother left this morning to visit her, so they won't be home. They always go shopping and out to eat when they are together, female bonding at it's finest. We stayed home tonight instead of going out, which helped me stay on target. Yesterday I put lamb steaks in a bag of marinade, just to make sure that dinner was planned and prepped. Sometimes on Friday I'm just so exhausted I fall into the "let's eat out" trap, because my brain just can't face having to pull a meal together, healthy or otherwise.
I made an appointment for the car but when I went to call one of the orthodontists (we're new patients so I have a short list of possibilities) it turns out that these people do not work Friday's, every last office on the list was closed today. Good grief. Which begs the question, why did I not go to dental school?
Mern I'm glad to see that you are back on track the past few days, as I really look up to you and am very motivated by your sheer grit and determination. I've actually been reminding myself over and over again of the posts where you were planning a snack of kale with cinnamon and such to make your goals, or how after you've cheated you go to the computer and work out a way to make dinner within the calories you have left with limited sat fat or some such. Your math still boggles me some, but I follow along best I can. So lately when I've been wanting to cheat or throw in the towel I say to myself "How would Mern fix this?". I have no idea where to get kale, but the cinnamon is ready to go. Maybe I need to make myself one of those reminder bracelets, only instead of "courage" or "WWJD" mine could say "HWMFT?". Catchy uh? I hear you on the kids taking up all your time, and I'm not even a grandmother.
Mike, no I did not mean "teeth" for falsies. Borrow a bra, fill the cups with water balloons, it's not rocket science. It'll go with the hot pink "Save the Ta-ta's" shirt. How is it that you aren't Facebook savvy? I mean seriously I understand how I'm not Facebook savvy, but you can do all sorts of utube videos and stuff I've never even considered attempting.
Bsummer86, welcome aboard. Love your screen name, I want to go back to the body I had in the summer of 86 too!!!
Terri, I don't think a couple of pieces of pizza along with a few glasses of wine and a pleasant evening with the BF are an "oops" at all, so I'm glad you're not beating yourself up over it. Spending time relaxing with your BF goes a long way in making another corner of your life "healthy". Just keep in mind that there is a very big difference between an "occasional treat" and a "bad habit".
Mary, are you sure it was giving yourself permission to drop out that got rid of your stress? Sounds to me like the exercise, scenery and a dose of vitamin sunshine might have something to do with it as well. I know just reading about your day made me feel more relaxed.

Lizzie Congratulations on your engagement.
Amy A budget is a budget (lol) but I must admit I was a little happier than usual after my 3 drinks and I am craving sugar like mad today. Nice Thursday numbers for you, Yeah. Ok I am still catching up on posts, nice Friday you are on fire this week.
April I look forward to your pond pictures it does sound like you have your work cut out for you though. I wish the kids would still do dog doodoo duty but now they pay rent so they only clean up after their own mess(yeah right) and it’s funny how the dogs they wanted are now ours.
Terri Glad to hear you enjoyed your pizza evening with your boyfriend.
Mern Have a great day at your fall festivals I hope you get good crisp sunny fall weather.
BSummer86 Welcome.

Well it's looking like I'm going to go down in flames this week. I only wrote 1 policy this week and tonight ended up turning into a cheat, my 2nd for the week. I didn't workout tonight b/c it go too late and don't think I'll be able to this weekend. On the plus side, I'm getting up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to go shrimping with a friend. I've never been shrimping but I'm sure it's going to be one hell of a workout since we'll be doing it in his flat boat. Everything will be done with manual labor. I just pray that my back can survive it.
My biggest success is that I was able to hit my goal of 3 donations this week!!

If you were thinking about pledging, please don't let me getting 3 discourage you. The last time I checked, 4 is better than 3.

I just got in another pledge. I'm up to $715.
I just sent a message to former Saints Quarterback, Bobby Hebert, asking him for a donation. There's no shame in my game, I'll ask anyone. I have a friend that flies AF2 and I told him to ask Pres. Obama to donate. I'm not holding my breath but I figured it was worth a shot.

Hi Everyone!
Boy do I have some catching up to do! I had an absolutely amazing time in Amsterdam but I was really really BAD!!! I just got back from the gym, where I did a one hour spin class, followed by 30 minutes on the elliptical. I have so much to make up for!
Sorry I haven't been around but not for lack of trying! For some crazy reason I could not even get onto to the site for days! I am not even sure that this post will go through... I am really having technical problems with Fitday. It's so painfully slow, it just times out.
There is no way I can catch up on all of this week's posts but I am officially back and hoping you all had a wonderful week. I've missed you!!!!!!!
Mike, I just made a donation to your breast cancer walk!
Best of luck with that. I admire you for doing it.

1. Enjoy visit with Dad M&T: Yes! Too short but it was great.
2. Cross-stitch project M: No, T: Yes (1-1/2hrs), W: No, Th: Yes (1/2hr)F: No,
Look at me go...posting on a Saturday! I am doing this and then it's off to clean all the bathrooms, dust & vaccuum, sweep & mop and then outside for the rest of the day to get the yard & flower beds ready for winter. I hate to get rid of annual flowers in the pots while they are still blooming so I might just do the rest and save that for another weekend. It isn't the worst thing in the world if I don't get them out of their pots before it snows
Terri ... I wouldn't feel bad about that either. That was very thoughtful of him to buy special pizza instead of a junk loaded one. That time spent with him was much more valuable than anything else in the world. Especially when lately you have been so busy.
Mary ... You definitely sound more relaxed already.
Darlene ... The dogs are mine (I wanted them) but the boys are both very helpful kids. We don't ask a whole lot of them so they are usually more than willing to do it. The oldest is my pond helper too. He loves being knee deep in freezing water LOL
