Rose,

What a horrible turn of events! I'm so sorry for all you're having to go through lately. I am a huge "softy" when it comes to my animals. I can't even imagine how awful you must feel! (Especially since you've had Chico for so long!)

I had to have my favorite buddy put down in May due to an injury and I cried for weeks, which wasn't like me at all. Some pets just have a way of wrapping around our hearts.

I hope Chico makes a full recovery and that you can, eventually, enjoy that much needed vacation.

hey all i'm wondering how much should the pie chart average out in a day how much % should i have in protine, fat and carbs

yunalee, I don't know if there is a "one size fits all" for the pie chart. My pie chart looks CRAZY now compared to what I'm use to but it's what I needed for a kick start.

Rose, that's terrible! Poor Chico. :( I hope he recovers quickly and without any complications.

Wildbeanerz, you go! That’s a huge loss. Well done.

Mern – yes, sometimes the veggie situation here can be frustrating. Currently bananas are $10 a kilo because of the devastation caused by the recent flooding and cyclone . . . the other day I went in and grabbed some as well as two or three other little things, went through the checkout and discovered the little handful I’d picked up was 2.4kgs - $24 for a few days’ worth of bananas! In December, for comparison purposes, we were paying 99c a kilo. I wish I had the time and patience to plant and maintain a veggie garden.
I remember watching a few episodes of Little House on the Prairie when I was a kid, but I was a reader, so I read more than watched telly – they had a book series, didn’t they? I loved old books when I was a kid. Lorna Doone was my absolute favourite. Haven’t read that in a long while.
Haha – no, my last Sunday was a write-off in terms of waking up feeling normal (had the scary movie night with sushi and so forth on Saturday). I’m hoping next Sunday will see me open my eyes and be able to function. :D

Cassie – good luck with your maintenance this week. So how many days do you get all to yourself while your husband is away?

Terri – take your 2.6lb loss and run! That’s cool. I believe the body appreciates a break every now and then and sometimes gives you a nice little surprise for it.
I was up late last night working on the letter. One last read through the manuscript and I will send it off.
I had a silent face-off with my partner over the last pile of clean clothes that needed putting away and I caved about two weeks after the pile started growing (we can both be very stubborn). As I was putting them in piles, a massive huntsman crawled placidly out of the folds of some sheets (his body was about the length of my palm). Poor huntsman. He got squished (I’m kind of okay with spiders, so long as they stay out of my house and off my person). So now I’m paranoid about leaving it for too long.

To all those who are having lots of glorious snow, being able to snuggle up next to a fireplace and get all cozy, I give you a big ole raspberry. I’d love to have snow! Would love to be housebound, playing board games in front of the fire.

Crimpet – welcome to the thread, and good luck with your goals this week!

Rose, I'm so sorry. You have paid your dues many times over and I hate to see something else bad happen for you :(

Please let us know how Chico does, and how you are hanging in as well. I'm sure he's in good hands.

Do what you can this week; taking care of Chico and yourself should be your main priorities. If he is strong like you are you will both be fine!

Quinn, I know you miss the big kitty :(. I wish I could send you some nice weather. I was thinking of you yesterday when we were tossing around spring break hiking ideas.

Mern, where are you that it is nice and warm? We have ideal weather today here in Georgia. Unfortunately I am sore from yesterday so I probably won't get out for a run or even a walk! It's been all winter since I've run on pavement; I suspect that's it.

I'm really impressed that you're committed to not taking meds and to being as healthy as you can be "the old fashioned way"...hard work! If more folks had that attitude, our country would be much healthier. I get so involved chatting with like-minded folks here on FitDay that I forget we're actually a minority. Then I go to WalMart and I'm reminded again :p. Oh, and I was NOT up at 3:02 AM; it was probably a couple minutes past midnight. I have glaucoma, too, but was fortunate to have the kind that is treatable with surgery, which I had done a couple years back.

behaze, he left today; back Friday. He has to go to the office in Ft. Lauderdale...of all places to have to go, during a spring break week!

My goals for this week are:

Fitness Goals:

1. Keep up the water intake to 10 cups. Yes
2. Put every effort into my workouts. Yes
3. Take a multi-vitamin every day. Yes

Non-Fitness Goals:

1. Start giving the house a thorough clean (one room per day). Ensuite done
2. Perform an anti-rain dance and get the rest of the washing cleaned and dried. Dance not successful, but two loads done.
3. Get the lawnmower fixed and start on the jungle . . . I mean, 'lawn' again. No.
4. Convince my partner to remove the boxes of Christmas decorations from the laundry and store them in his workshop. No (this one will be a challenge)

Cassie, I don't know where Fort Lauderdale is . . . is that a prime spring break location?
