07thatgirl ~ dont get discouraged! You also didnt gain anything! And, if your body is like mine... you dont lose no matter how 'good you have been'.. and suddenly drop several pounds at once. Hang in there!

Well Hello all
Just spent the weekend eating 2 huge Thanksgiving dinners ( I am Canadian) so I tried to control my self as much as possible but there was a lot of delicious food. Here's hoping that the weigh in this week isn't too horrible...lol On the plus side I did drink an ridiculous amount of water :) Andrea |
I can soooo relate. We spent the weekend with the inlaws, to celebrate my nephew's birthday. Talk about an eatfest, good grief there must have been 600-700 calories in a serving of that birthday cake and don't even get me started on the ice cream and munchies!!! Oy!

New to FitDay
Hi Everyone, this is a great group. I love tacking on a goal to a specific event or date and with Christmas being my favourite, I am hoping to add onto your wishlist.
I am 30 years old and have two young boys. My husband was recently transferred for work and we know literally two other people in town. I started FitDay exactly one week ago and it is working much better than anything else I have tried. I am 6'1 (yes I know, super tall) and started at 237 lbs. So far I have lost 6 and am so excited to finally do something about this weight gain since my first pregnancy. I would be comfortable with 185 lbs even though that still mysteriously puts me in the "overweight" BMI section. I was in the 140's in highschool but was a super skinny beanpole! Anyway, thanks for this thread - it's great to have just one more thing to hold me accountable. I must must must get out there and be active everyday and not binge on sweets like I normally do. One thing I am finding incredibly hard is to get more protein in my diet (preferrably not with powders and bars since I don't want to be buying them forever - I want a lifestyle I can maintain). Highest weight: 242 (holy - wake up call!) :eek: Starting weight: 237 (Oct 5th 2010) current weight: 231 ( Oct 13th 2010) 1st mini goal 227 (Oct. 31 2010) :rolleyes:Christmas goal: 210 (getting there!) :)Main Goal 185 (no set date - I should find something to attach it to!) :D |
