Eating in restaurants makes it so much more difficult!

Compulsion to Eat

"I compulsively eat at dinner when I'm not super hungry..."
My advice is to figure out your trigger(s). What is the setting event(s) that are leading up to your choice to eat large portions? If you figure out your trigger(s) and then remove/avoid them and consciously redirect yourself to replace over induldging with healthier replacement behaviors you should see improvement.

I hope this isn't a dead end thread.
Trying to keep my weight under 190.
Breakfast is always pineapple or some fruit. and coffee.
Dinner varries and most of the times I eat out. *sigh* thats why I keep gaining.

I typically skip breakfast, but when I do stop to eat I have Yogurt or a Cliff bar. Lunch is a salad with 2 Tbls. of dressing with a portion of pretzils or gluten free, no salt corn chips, and water. THEN, I get home to my husband who wants to eat dinner. Ahhh!
It is a struggle for me to lose weight as a have a lot of time at my desk during the work day.
If after dinner, I get on my treadmill for 30 minutes I am managing to lose steadily. This last week I have been sick and chose to skip the workout and gained 2 pounds (takes 2 weeks to lose, but 1 week to gain the same. Grrr).
My plan is to get on my treadmill!
