Down another 1.2 pounds this week--REALLY, I did a bunch of walking and exercise too. I'm glad I lost, but, after losing about 75 pounds total, I guess weight loss slows down a bit. Any ideas for increasing metabolism or amping up the weight loss would be appreciated. At the rate I've lost this week I'll be pushing 58 when I reach my goal! Vicki

((((((((((((Vicki))))))))))))))

Hang in there, truth is 58 will come anyway, so might as well work toward health. Losing weight is hard work! And our bodies rebel at times ...... The numbers are not as exciting as we had before, BUT, it wouldn't take much for the numbers to go the other way. Slow and steady loss sure beats slow and steady gain. Let's do this!!!

I only have to go back a mere 6 years to have been staring at almost 400 on the scale!! It does happen! and can happen again!

Stay strong, we are doing well!!

Vicky - First, congrats on losing a total of 75 lbs.!! Not many people can say they've accomplished that...do you know that! You're doing so well!! Second, any progress is still progress...don't lose sight of your accomplishments or of your ultimate goal.

I have no idea. It's a cushion pad that looks kind of like a donut. It relieves pressure on the ball of my foot where the callus is.

Congrats! Have you considered a little strength training? The more muscle you have, the more fat you burn... so if you build a little muscle in your thighs/legs (the biggest muscles on women) by doing squats and lunges, etc, then your overall caloric burn each day will be higher, even during rest

Great job so far!

Vicki, congrats on your milestone accomplishment! 75 lbs is a fantastic success so far. Don't lose sight of the fact that the recommended weight loss is 1-2lbs/week, so you are right in there. Everyone is right...going steady toward your goal is what matters, and you will get there.

Mike, way to go! 5 miles? Wow!

My numbers these past 2 weeks are unfortunately going the wrong way.
