Site is getting hung up (Admin monitored)
 

Just saying.....
Seems lately it takes forever to log my indormation.System hangs up quite often and I have to re-boot back into Fitday.:(
Anyone else having issues?
Also, do you know if there are "Peak Times " where the system actually bogs down do to high user taffic?

There should never be a time when our site runs slower due to traffic.

What browser and version are you using?

Safari 5.1

There does not seem to be any difference between the old version I use and the new here. Can you tell me what might be different then I can give you feedback on it.:rolleyes:

Hi Folks!

A week ago I returned to using FitDay after about a 1 year break. The site is continually taking forever to load, sometimes even timing out. Does anyone know why it is doing this, or what I can do to stop it? It is like it is getting stuck on the adverts. I have a new computer with good speed, good DSL speed, and do not have problems with any other website. I have used FitDay many times over the last 6 or 7 years, never having problems with it in the past. The timing out is driving me crazy! Could anyone help me rectify this please?

Doesn't appear to be a site issue, or I'm confident we'd have a number of other users joining in here.

Have you tried clearing your cache/cookies? Or updating to FF 6.0?

Hi Louise, you may want to post your question in one of the sections toward the bottom of the main list of threads...I think it's called Support/Feedback(?). This one is for FitDay PC...if you bought the home version for use with no internet...and I'm not sure it will get seen/answered here. I think the moderators check the other thread more frequently and technical support does as well. FitDay is in the midst of changes and major upgrades, so maybe that has something to do with it? Good luck; hope you get it resolved soon :).

ibobi...the site runs slow every time I try to use it. Even tonight, using the forums, the site is crawling. It is like being on a dial up system.

On my main computer, I use Google Chrome as a browser, and have Windows 7 OS. The system is only a few months old and zips through other websites quite fast. I have a secondary system, a laptop, that is about 3 years old, runs on Vista, has Google Chrome, and also has no problems with other websites. Both systems are very slow, and I usually have to close the browser and re-start it to get the site to work as it seems to get "stuck" loading the adverts in.

At work I use IE, and it is on Vista. The site is a nightmare to use there, far worse than on a home system, but, there again, the Internet runs slow at work no matter which site I go to.

I just had someone email tonight asking which program I use to track food and am somewhat leary about telling him to come here because it is sooooo slow. The site used to run very well, both the early design and the re-design. I have no idea why it is running so poorly now. I used to be able to log in, track my food and exercise without any troubles using an ancient old laptop that simply crawled on most sites.

hahahaha :) Then tonight it has been working just fine for me to enter food in!

Glad to hear it was running great last night -- still humming along?

Anyone else having speed issues still?

I too will say that the "Slow Times" are intermittent.That's why I questioned the possibility of slower times during peak hours of use. (Post -Meals ???)

Site is getting hung up
 

While logging in, entering foods, or posting to the forum, the site is getting hung up on this:

The only work around is to stop loading the page when it gets hung up, then the page loads successfully. Houston, we have a problem.

By the way, for some reason at this time Tags cannot be added to threads. I am guessing it's because of this same issue...

I'm having the same problem, to the point where I'm just getting frustrated trying to use FitDay at all.

The issue appears to clear up on it's own. Give it a day or two and it will probably rectify itself, just like what happened to me.

Are you getting the same page loading error? The same hangup on comet.ibsrv.net... ?

I don't get an error message, just "waiting for..." at the bottom, and no, it is not resolving, thanks.

Yeah, it's been hanging for me a lot yesterday and today. :(

I've had the same thing. I go to open a page or forum post, and sometimes it works, other times it just stalls out... noticed it on and off for a while, but the last couple of days have been worse :/

This time the site is getting hung up on this for the last two days

The page just sits there for 30-60 seconds without competing, waiting for the above to load.

Can you identify the site hanging up your browser? Same one?

No, and it's been going on for days. Mike told me that he's been having the same problem today.

Paul, it's been very bad for me today. I've had issues on my desktop with Firefox, laptop with IE and phone with Safari.

I've been getting hang-ups, too, not too bad, but just now I couldn't log in the regular way; every time I tried, I got the Internal Server Error message. Got in through a back door...history page, but not even that; had to go to my public page, then back to private account, to forums, to post this.

Today it has been good, the first day in quite a few. No problems at all today thus far. :)

I've spent the past 15 minutes trying to get on.

I've been shut out most of the evening. They're probably doing maintenance on the site, moving stuff around, getting ready for the big rollout. It would be nice to know for sure, rather than guess. ;)

Tried 6 or 7 times between 7-730pm to login it just kept giving me white screen no login page at all.:(

Login issues should be resolved.

I was just shut out from Discussions for the last 2 hours. All I got was a blank page, and it was hungup on loading "fitday.com".

Fitday Timing Out During Login...
 

...but loads after I reload the page. Anything I can do on my end to fix this? Using the site is becoming increasingly more frustrating as of late.

Beta Dashboard and food page getting hung up as soon as I hit stop or refresh it loads it's almost like it can't finish its final step.

Still having the same problem for days now. The page doesn't completely load if I hit the x or refresh it loads but I need to do this for every tab dashboard,food,exercise.:confused:

Several days now of having new FitDay beta hang at waiting for pixel.quantserve.com. Perhaps these references could be removed?

It's a little different for Beta, that's why there's a thread about this issue in the Beta forum. It's now being addressed:
