Hey everyone, thanks for the wishes. I just got back from my honeymoon and it was a blast. I've gained it all back and then some but I don't regret it at all because I ate some of the best food I've ever had! But with my half-mara coming up its time to get serious again.
I woke up early this morning to squeeze in a 4-miler before work, since I'm going to a jazz concert this evening with my folks and wife

LOL - thanks Abby! Just writing down that I was resisting made me overcome the resistance, and once I got to the gym it actually felt good to work out. Got up to 25 strokes/minute on the rowing machine, and increased weights on my strength training regimen.
Nik, nice to have you back, isn’t it fun to start saying “wife”?
JJRudd, did you get that 15 minutes in? We will cheer for every increaed minute
Nice work Jamie – it’s amazing what posting does for us.
Speaking of posting, Pam, we miss you!
For me, it was a very badly behaved weekend, of which we will say no more, today I did a great kettlebell class, I was the only one who showed, so got lots of individual attention, and learned how to do a Turkish Get Up (that’s a 12 step process from lying on your back to standing up, the hardest part is remembering the next step!).
Yes I did. Have been trying to get half an hour in every day (what was recommended by dietician). Did 20min Biggest Loser Game (circuit training, boxing, lunges etc) and 10 min Wii Fit in evening yesterday--did the advanced obstacle course (my Mii person kept falling off the ice).
I was bad all weekend...too many beers and rich decadent food and no real exercise
However, I've got some new running shoes due to arrive today and plan on breaking them in after work and then a trip to the gym.
So, I broke in my new shoes with a 5mile run in 99* temps, ya that was fun. I then went to the gym and lifted for 40 min, felt great.
The rest of the week is supposed to be in the triple digits so I'm gonna try to shift my running to the AM before work, or just do cardio at the gym.

Did 19min Wii Fit (step and obstacle course)--unfortunately had plumber in and finished at dinnertime so went out. Did start off with salad and had chicken but the potato and roll probably should not have been combined (but the roll is sooo yummy).
