One angle to consider...
If you are working your butt off with increased cardio, that will contribute to an increased metabolism. 1200-1400 calories per day is almost too low for anyone period in my opinion. You may want to increase your calories to 1600-1800 per day to adjust to the increased metabolism, otherwise you run the risk of slowing the metabolism down due to your body going into starvation mode. It's like shooting yourself in the foot, the body is trying to hold onto whatever it can by slowing your metabolism and storing fat, negating any positive gains you made. Keep the thermogenic response in your body going, you want your body to act like a furnace to your fat. Maybe add some celery, carrots and grapefruit to your diet.
That's my take anyway.
