You can go to the library and look at some diet books. Find the book(s) that will match your lifestyle to some extent. Then track what you eat (here on fitday, that is the food log). Don't try any 'miracle supplements' or drugs. Just track what you eat; it will show you how many calories you normally eat in a day. Work at reducing the number of calories in your daily meals. That is where diet books (free to read at the library) can help.
