Diet books throw on us many theories when it comes to weight loss. Some claim the key to success is eating less and exercising more. Other believe low-fat diet is the only way to go about. Some others ask you to cut down on carbs. What should you consider? How to lose weight? It is always better to rely on those who have successfully followed a staple weight loss method. The 'how to lose weight’ process, includes these steps:
- Learn about your Body Mass Index. Know where you are today to get to where you want to be
- Use a food tracking app to understand how much, what, and when you are eating. Be mindful of your eating habits
- Eat smaller portions as they prevent overeating. Learn the difference between serving and portion
- Do not give up on all your favourite foods. Make smart choices and use simple substitutions instead
- Indulge in some physical activity throughout the day. Walking helps. Aim for at least 150 minutes of walking a week

What also helps is increasing your metabolic rate (metabolism) and TDEE (total daily energy expenditure)
The best way to do that is to put on MUSCLE (lean body mass) that will in return allow your body to have a higher metabolism.
Your body will be burning more calories as opposed to being someone scrawny or overweight.
