Hi everyone, love the idea of 10% by April Fools!! I'm going to join you, this maybe the motivation I need. I really need to lose about 35lbs. My weigh in will be on a tuesday morning.

Good luck to us all

Welcome! Weigh in any time you like--we all run different schedules.

What's your 10% (if you don't mind sharing--if you'd rather not, that's cool too) ?

Regards,
Michael

Don't mind at all, going by the last time i weighed myself(before Christmas) it should be 18-19lbs, but I'll do my weigh-in in the morning so i'll know better then. I just so want to do this as I want to get healthy and lose the extra weight so decided I'm starting tomorrow not waiting for the New Year.

Shirl, good for you starting now and not waiting for New Year's.

Sounds like you're going to try for 1.5 lbs a week average or thereabouts which should be very doable. I find it helps to do the math to find a calorie level that will (approximately) give you the results you're looking for.

Michael

That's great--the more the merrier! I really like 10% goals--they are reasonably quick to accomplish and really feel like major milestones once they're done. Keep us posted as to your progress.

Michael

Ok, I'm in!

That means 33 lbs by April, which only follows that I should be able to shed another 30 by July.

Now I should set up my signature.

Hello
I'm in.
My only proviso is that I'm looking to reduce my body fat% instead of just weight. I'm currently at 23.5% and want to be 15%. That works out at 15lb on a current weight of 165lb, nearly 10%.

I want 15% body fat. I'm 5'3 and 165lb today. I will post weight and body fat % every 2 weeks on Saturdays, starting Friday 31st December.
