Any weight loss experiences or tips?

I have lost 50lbs so far (after the birth of my daughter)and still would like to lose another 50. It seems that when I constantly think and obsess over the weight I gain, but if I dont I lose easier. I lost the first 50 by not sitting on my butt as much and not eating so much crap. Simple as that. Now I feel overwhelmed that I still need to lose so much more. I look better and get compliments, but still am big. Any experiences with weight loss would be great. It seems overwhelming at time, but I am tired of being fat I want to wear cute clothes again. thanks

Hello people! I'm new to this community since I'm not very active on the internet and I'm not a very computer-savvy person. Your query just grabbed my attention while I was surfing the internet because it's very much similar to what my mom had been going through a couple of months ago. Initially she had weird eating habits like at times she would eat so much and at other times she would just not look at food for weeks no matter how hard we try. Our psychiatrist said she was probably anorexic because she had finally quit eating anything at all. My dad was so depressed and worried and immediately called for therapy. Thanks God mom is much better now. Infact she has started eating a lot. The therapist recommended using this supplement side by side to maintain her weight and prevent her from putting on more than needed. She's doing perfect right now. I think you need to consult a therapist for yourself too. Wish you best of luck.

lost weight

i starting my diet plan last june 8 2014, now almost 2 months i lost 12 kg, before my weight is 108 kg now is 96 kg, but i need to lose more, any tips or suggestion? or do you think 12 kg for 2 months is enough?

Kathy13118 08-06-2014 04:36 AM

Junz, if you lost 12 kg in almost 2 months, is your doctor monitoring your weight loss? 2 lbs (almost 1 kg) in a week is a rate that most find difficult to sustain - however, it is a safe rate, health-wise. Your rate is almost double that.

Have you looked at your BMI?

lost weight

my BMI now is 32.73 i am obese class 1, that is why i need to lose more., my age is 32, height is 172cm, weight 96kg, as of now.

Speak to your doctor about your weight loss. I don't think you can 'speed up' weight loss in a healthy way, and it just takes time. Your health is at stake, not just your weight, remember!

Maybe walking each day, with distances that you gradually increase, at a comfortable pace, might help you feel that you are doing the best with physical activity and diet. Drinking plenty of water is also a good diet habit.

thanks for your reply, i'm doing walking and jogging but 1 hour 2 times a week only due to my busy work. i will observe 1 month more if i lose 6kg again. if not i planning to buy supplement FAT BURNER. because i want to lose 20kg more up to November my vacation.

Kathy13118 08-06-2014 05:34 AM

I guess I'm repeating myself here - but ask your doctor about the safety of any supplement that promises weight loss. It's your health! The weight will eventually come off at a safe rate when you just eat less food and get more physical activity.

i just share my meal everyday,

Oat Meal, wheat bread or brown bread, apple, banana, orange, low fat milk,

and my green juice recipe,

lettuce,broccoli,celery stalk,spinach,cabbage,apple,carrots,cucumber,
mix all and make juice i drink 3 cups a day.

NO RICE......

total calories a day less than 1200 a day.

i eat this for 2 months now.

From what you write, the one thing I see missing is a protein. Even though vegetables do contain some protein, as well as the oatmeal, etc., do you think you might need more? There are very low-fat proteins- such as boiled chicken breast without the skin - that won't add so many calories but give more protein.

It takes time to lose weight. Just be more patient! Continue what you're doing and you will surely achieve your weight loss goal. Keep in mind that successful weight loss depends on healthy diet and exercise combined with making permanent changes on your lifestyle and health habits. These will help you manage your weight in the long run. Aside from these, you can also consider taking natural weight loss supplements for they are also effective weight loss solution.

Ive also noticed that you eat a lot of sugar and carbs... very high glycemic foods. I would try to switch some of those things out, instead of oatmeal, try buckwheat groats... instead of apples and bananas, try using different kinds of berries and grapefruit. Make sure to also incorpoerate healthy fats... extra virgin olive oil, virgin coconut oil, raw nuts and seeds. Edamame and black beans also help you to lose weight as they are high in protein and fiber.

Women's weight is a balancing act, but the equation is simple: If you eat more calories than you burn, you gain weight. Taking natural supplements can be your best option too. They can be very beneficial when used correctly. They are effective, without side effects. Aside from this, you can also manage your weight with a little discipline on your diet and lifestyle. Don;t skip your breakfast and always choose your food wisely.
You can also utilize your break to go for a short walk and find simple ways to exercise. Most importantly, stay hydrated.

Kathy13118 11-05-2014 04:20 AM

I think it's difficult to say categorically that there are no side effects to natural supplements. That's another reason to ask your doctor.

Make your weight loss goal a reality through healthy diet and exercise. Reduce your calorie intake, but don't starve yourself. Eat more plant-based foods such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Get active. Exercise can help burn off the excess calories, while providing a lot of other health benefits.

I was in my junior years when I started gaining weight. I was teased by my classmates and friends. I was so depressed that makes me fatter because I can't control myself anymore to eat more. My English teacher talks to me and encourage me to loss weight. She created a diet plan and a daily exercise for me. Since then I do it regularly.

Meal replacement shakes (less calories and more filling)
Drink 8 cups of water a day
take time to drink water WHILE eating your meals, this fills you up faster
Drink green tea to boost your metabolism (like 2 cups a day)
keep an exercise and calorie intake booklet (this may keep you motivated)
Make yummy dishes with vegetables! Green is Good.

Example:
Broccoli, tomato, onion: saute these like a stir fry till their brownish (use olive oil)
make a big bowl of it and it will fill you up! add hot sauce to boost your metabolism and clean out your system
eat lots of fish! lots of protein and little fat

hope this helped. :]
when eating meat, only eat the size of your fist

weight loss tips

from my experience if you can eat 2000 calories or around that mark, no processed foods, sugar and limited grains e.g only rice, oats. eat a high protein meals with plenty of veg for dinner, try and not eat much for at least a 12 hour window, e.g 6pm -10am the next morning (16hours) except for water, or maybe a coffee or tea. in that 8 hour period, focus on foods that contain good fats and protein and fruits , snack on nuts and if you get hungry,or have a whey protein shake. once your body adjusts to eliminating as much sugar as possible you wont be as hungry.
the other part of the equation is to exercise three times a week, whatever you can handle, walking or bike riding and some weights. once a week eat a cheat meal you enjoy e.g ice cream or chocolate, or even eat your favourite hamburger, dont totally deprive yourself.
they're my tips its worked for me and it doesnt have to be hard work.

I have jus joined here today becuse y weight is a little out of control due to lifestyle changes since my husband was diagnosed with a deteriorating condition and I care for him fulltime. Now, I have lost weigh successfully in the past, and what has helped me personally is a high protein low carb diet and keeping a food diary! This is exactly what I will do this time, albeit with a bit more weigh to lose than any other time before. Sharing for support is as important, as well as finding WHICH REGIME works for you, no everyone is the same. If you a previous experience which was successful, use the same resources again. I am already more motivated for having filled in the food diary today...

Kathy13118 12-28-2014 05:01 PM

Sorry that your husband is ill. When I 'stress ate' while caring for a relative, the problem was compounded by lack of exercise. It's good to just get up and move around - even if it's indoors.
