Thanks Miss Marilyn! I hope the scale starts to budge tomorrow. I'm doing everything I should: portions/good carbs, protien and also activity--treadmill and dance aerobics. My cable co offers exercise tv on demand. so i put that on and chose 10 minute workouts, where they offer a 10 min dance aerobics..from there I go to my treadmill, flip the news on, and do 20 mins. For a total of 30. I hope to add 15 - 30 mins of activity. This isn't easy for me. I've never had to exercise and I don't like it. I'm trying to re-frame my thinking on this and you sexy girls are helping me! thanks!~Mary

I'll jump in on this thread, too! I just bought a new scale that stores my weight, and will tell me how much I've lost. Bed, Bath, & Beyond - use the 20% coupon. They had a Biggest Loser Scale, too, but I liked this one better. Now I want to get a food scale to help with my portion sizes - I am out of control! I like the suggestion of using a smaller plate - trick my eyes into thinking I'm eating more. I too am a member of the clean-plate club - my grandma would be proud. Anyway, I enjoy this thread - keep up the encouragement, ladies. We're doing great!

Hi Christine,
I have the same scale I definetly makes a differance. I don't do the food scale probably should. I do use smaller plates and try to eat slower, drink more water, eat more veggies etc. Glad you're part of our group

I would like in as well. I'm 30 years old, i'm 5'5" and 187 lbs at the moment. I started dieting and exceriseing on the 4th of jan. and I have lost 3 lbs. (i was 190) I definantly want to look sexy again!!! I would like to get into a swim suit again. I'm trying to stick to my calories. and thats a good idea baout eating on a smaller plate. i haven't thought of that. I drank nothing but water unless we go out to eat (which we hardly do) i get unsweeten tea.

Yay, I'm down 2 pounds! Go, me! I've upped my exercise minutes by 10 minutes and I feel really good. How 'bout them endorphins?!

I want to eat more veggies, too, but know that in order to do that I need to have them ready to go. What is the best way to store them to keep them fresh? Some I have in tupperware containers and some are in ziploc bags. I have the most problem with cucumbers - once they're peeled they get yucky pretty quickly. Any tips or tricks? My grandma used to store lettuce in the bowl with a damp paper towel on top - just keep rewetting. It was amazing how well that worked - but I don't have shelf space right now to keep a bowl like that, so into the ziploc it goes. Just thought I'd pick your brains.
