Advice anyone?
If she rings your doorbell and says anything, just pretend that nothing was happening, or don't open at all. Who is she to tell you what to do in your own house???? If you are a wee bit noisy during normal daylight hours and not at night and she isn't elderly or newborn baby who needs quiet to sleep, then she just has to take it.

So I have been tapering my Lyrica slowly and the bp seems better (plus the weight loss easier) but I am back to having pain. So far it is only in my right hand and arm, my knee, hip and back. Stretches seem to help my back. The pain elsewhere is searing but I may just have to bite the bullet and live with it.

It makes exercising that much more challenging and exercise seems to make me that much hungrier.

Having family home and not feeling so happy or well makes it hard to write and meditate and do my things. So those are my excuses for the week.

But I will keep trying. This thread helps.

Rose, if your neighbor rings, offer her a brownie. Have one handy just for her. It is hard to hassle someone who gives you chocolate, even if you don't like or eat it.

She never shovels her stairs so she uses mine (just to give you an idea of her personality.) She has also had screaming matches with her boyfriend that the whole block can hear, sometimes at 2am. So now she's disturbed by a little floor tremble for a total of 6 minutes (3 X 2-minute circuits.)

I think that I will just keep going and see where this goes. This is the first time she heard me and it was 8am when I started so it's not that early. You could tell her the truth that you heard her parties too. So we all have to tolerate each other.

So I sent my neighbor an email apologizing for making noise and offered to move the workout to another room. I guess I'll just wait and see how she responds to that. It would be such a shame if I have to give this up. I don't know how else I can get that kind of workout in a time frame that fits into my full schedule.

Thank you to everyone who responded. I really appreciate the advice.

Hope, I bought her some organic chocolate. She's a health nut, so the brownie would not have been a hit with her.

You took the high road, Rose. I'm proud of you.

I don't think you should give up the workout. You have done your part. Now it is her turn to meet you halfway. If she does not, you can honestly and without any bad conscience say you tried. Then do what you gotta do. And what you gotta do is exercise and take care of you.

You are my personal heroine for getting on this so quickly and with such gentleness and generosity.

Im needing extra motivation for the next week because I'm going to be on holidays. I'm taking my computer so I plan on staying on track

My Goals for Jan 29th to Feb 4th

Do my fitday entries each day, food and activity

Exercise 5 out of the 7 days (at least 7 hours for the week)

Eat healthy foods Stay below 2000 calories average. My usual is 1500 however my goal for this week is maintenance. A loss would be a pleasant surprise.

Drink 60 oz of water daily

Limit alcohol consumption to 3 evenings of holidays.

I find it hardest to eat right while on holidays. I'm hoping making these plans will assit me in not gaining next week.

Wow Hope, you really made my day! Thank you so much for the sage advice and for being so supportive. I know I can't give up my morning exercise! It makes me feel so good. I need it! Anyway I can't tell you how touched I am by your words. You are a wonderful person!

Thanks, everyone, for your supportive words in light of my day off the wagon. On some level I guess I just needed to be bad...and not just with food! I didn't put laundry away, I didn't return phone calls, and I basically didn't do anything I should have! Now, it's out of my system and I'm back on track, without beating myself up about any of it. I really, really appreciate the comments; they were a great pick-me-up and helped me get stay out of guilt mode.

Now, if I can just get past "Chef Joseph's Dessert Showcase" tomorrow at this dinner I'm supposed to attend, I'll be in good shape!
