protein protein where art thou?
Zone diet? 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 30% fats. I heard it was a great way to balance and lose!
My problem is that no matter how many darn eggs or fish I eat, I can never get my protein to anti up! It's almost aggravating. I was never raised a protein or meat kinda person. I love my bread and I love my veggies. Imbalanced nutrition is probably the whole reason that I am here. P.s. sweets... chocolate and hearty fat packed home meals got me here too!
My question is where can I get a protein packed snack without adding to the fats and the darn carbs?!!

We all find it very hard to increase our protein intake. For me reaching 30% is a problem most of the times.
What helps: whey protein powder, egg whites, non fat greek yogurt and chicken/turkey breast. As for snacks, I agree that's the hardest thing comes with snacks, as they are all full of carbs! Try some protein bars, i.e. the South Beach ones or the Atkins ones, but honestly the best choice is not eating all this packaged food if you can.

Cheese sticks, canned beans on a salad, chicken and turkey lunchmeat eaten by itself. Nuts and seeds are awesome, but very high in calories so portion control is important there. I aim for 30% protein and am pretty darned happy to just reach 25%. I also don't sweat carbs that come from vegetables or raw whole fruit. Fruit juice, potatoes, bread, pasta, and rice are the carbs that will spike your blood sugar.
