MEDITERRANEAN DIET OR GI DIET? Which one is better?

Has anyone tried either of these diets? I am considering beginning one but am not sure which one would be better and I do not want to buy 2 books to decide. I have research both as much as possible for free. So I was hoping someone out there had advice for me. Thanks!:confused:
