without going into a great deal of info on levels, etc. i just basically wanted to know of anyone's experience with either androgel, androderm, axiron, or fortesta as prescribed by a physician ? (i assume there are other names out there as well). my prescription plan wont pay for androgel any longer without special authorization from my doctor. just went on the androderm patch at his recommendation. ( i assume i can say these brand names here ? ) so far, i feel pretty good. more energy throughout the day, longer exercise periods , belly fat going away, breast decrease, no weight gain. i am age 63, 6'5'', 273 lbs. no other major medical conditions. been active most of my life, football, weight-lifting, love swimming, lot of walking now, eating reasonably.

I have used testosterone applications for years. Proper levels allow you to build muscle mass and muscles burn calories. With age low testosterone coupled with lack of exercise is the reason muscle mass decreases.
I am 65 years old and have a medical Rx for testosterone.

If you want to go the natural route you might try finding a licensed Acupuncture Physician and have him make you a custom herbal formula. I do not think that one herb will do that much, but a complex herbal formula definitely will. A woman that goes to my mother's church was very anemic and there was no Western medication that could help here. Now that she is on an herbal formula here blood work is perfect. Here Western Doctor could not believe it! I'd give that a try first.
