"I am still at about 1000-1200 a day so I am not sure what else to do. Does muscle seriously weigh more than fat?"

shoemenow;
Muscle is more dense than fat so you can be smaller but weigh more. Have you looked at your Protein/Carb/Fat percentages? Especially if you are exercising you need more protein. The commonly suggested amount is .75 to 1 gram of protein per pound of LEAN body weight. I know Cassie (cjohnson) has written that she was also stuck before she increased her protein intake. She also talks about zig-zagging or varying her calorie intake from day to day to help kick her metabolism into high gear.

Your success to this point is tremendous! Hope the suggestions helps.

Hi showmenow! Congratulations on your achievement!

I'm new here and I'm no expert, but I do exercise a lot and I have done a lot of reading on exercise and weight loss. It really sounds like your 1200 calorie a day intake is too low for all of the exercise you are doing. It sounds like your body has gone into "survival mode" and it's going to be darn near impossible to drop the extra pounds you want if you don't INCREASE your daily caloric intake.

Normally 1000-1300 calories for a woman would be fine and you wouldn't go into "starve mode" but you could easily be burning 400 calories by bicycling (45 mins. at moderate pace) which would put you at about 800 calories which IS starve mode.
