Hi! My dual-zone wine cooler cannot reach its set temperature anymore. The display says fifty-five degrees, but the actual internal temperature is stuck around sixty-five, which is way too warm for my white wines. Is this a compressor issue or just a broken thermostat?

It is so stressful when your wine collection is at risk because those temperatures need to be precise. I dealt with a similar cooling failure on my own wine fridge a couple of months ago. In my case, it wasn't the thermostat, but a faulty starter relay on the compressor and a thick layer of dust blocking the condenser coils. I didn't want to risk ruining my bottles, so I booked a service with Major Appliance Repair https://majorappliancerepair.info/ . They provide an excellent fast in-home appliance repair and the tech had the exact replacement relay right in his tool kit. He cleaned out the vents and fixed the electronics quickly. My bottles are perfectly chilled now, so you should definitely give them a shout!
