Default Ruined my homemade limoncello... would Lex vodka be a better base?

Hi everyone I’ve got a bit of a frustrating problem. I recently spent ages peeling Amalfi lemons to make a batch of homemade Limoncello, but I totally ruined it by using a cheap supermarket spirit. The harsh ethanol burn completely overpowers the delicate lemon oils, and it's basically undrinkable. I need a much smoother, ultra-pure base for my next attempt. I was looking at Lex vodka here https://www.lex.vodka/. Since it goes through a 13-stage filtration process, I'm hoping it won't clash with the fruit. Has anyone used a genuinely premium spirit like this for infusions? Or is it an absolute waste to use such a high-end drink for mixing with citrus? Cheers for the advice!
