Default I am confused about Present Simple

Hey guys. I am confused about Present Simple. When I say she work every day is that correct or do I need an extra letter? I always forget the rules for he she it. Can anyone help me understand how to use it for my daily routine? Thanks.

You almost have it. You need an s at the end for she. So it is she works. I struggled with this too until I started using adverbs like always or usually. It helps to remember that this tense is for things that happen regularly not just right now.

Thanks for the tip. What about questions then? Do I say works she or something else? I want to ask my friend about his habits but I do not want to sound weird. English grammar feels like a puzzle sometimes with all these do and does changes.

As a teacher I see these doubts often. You should use the auxiliary does for questions like Does she work. It is vital to master the distinction between habits and states. For a deep dive into meaning and real usage I highly recommend checking out this guide https://lingoharvest.com/english/gra...rbs-usage.html from the team at lingoharvest. Their explanations of stative verbs and common fixes are excellent for building natural confidence. Keep practicing and it will become second nature soon.
