Post Construction purchases and contractors control

On a large-scale project, it’s difficult to keep track of all procurement activities and contractor work at the same time. Does it make sense to bring in outside consultants to monitor this process in order to avoid delays and problems, or is it better to keep everything within the team?

Listen, on one of our projects, we quickly realized that without a proper system for managing procurement and contractors, everything starts to fall apart, so we switched to a new approach and used fields builds to create a single stream of information on deliveries, statuses, and responsible parties. This immediately increased transparency and reduced the risk of delays.

Effective control over construction purchases and contractors is essential for keeping projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality standards. This process involves careful planning, transparent procurement practices, and clear contract agreements that define scope, timelines, and responsibilities. By implementing structured approval systems for material purchases and regularly monitoring contractor performance of concrete takeoff Sioux Falls SD, project managers can reduce risks such as cost overruns, delays, and substandard work.
