I am doing market research on the AI industry and I need to analyze how many tools are entering the market each month. Is there a comprehensive list somewhere that tracks all these new releases?

Tracking the velocity of this market is tough. You need a directory that updates daily. You should look at the ai dude full tools list which serves as a massive repository for what is launching. Because they allow submissions, it tends to capture the long tail of small apps that the major tech news sites miss. It is probably the closest thing to a census of the industry right now.

That’s a massive undertaking! Honestly, keeping a "comprehensive" list of AI tools right now is like trying to count raindrops in a thunderstorm—thousands of apps are launched every month, many of which are just wrappers for existing models.
Since there isn't one single "official" government registry, most of us in the industry rely on aggregator directories. Here are the best places to track the flow:
Since there isn't one single "official" government registry, most of us in the industry rely on aggregator directories. Here are the best places to track the flow:
- There’s An AI For That (TAAFT): Probably the largest database. They update daily and show timelines of releases.
- Futurepedia: Very popular, well-categorized, and great for seeing what’s actually trending.
- Product Hunt: Look at the "AI" category daily. This is where the most significant startups actually "launch."
- Ben’s Bites or TLDR AI: These newsletters are lifesavers. They curate the noise so you don’t have to.

I’ve been using an AI Text Detector Tool for a few weeks now while doing market research on the AI industry, and I’ve struggled to find a truly comprehensive list of tools launching each month. There are scattered posts and some community lists, but nothing centralized. I would love a website that tracks every new AI release with dates, categories, and links — that would save so much time. Right now I end up piecing things together from Twitter threads, newsletters, and forums, which works only partially.
