How do you choose a dev partner for an early-stage startup?

I’m in that stage where my startup idea finally feels real, but choosing who’s going to build the first version of the product has been harder than expected. Every agency promises speed, flexibility, and “startup-friendly” processes, but it’s impossible to know who actually delivers. I'm worried about paying for something that ends up needing a complete rebuild later.

I’ve talked to a few founders, and everyone says the same thing — the wrong dev partner can slow down progress for months. But I don’t want to overpay either, since early budgets are tight. I’m trying to figure out what really matters: tech stack? communication? timelines? Would love insights from someone who survived the early build stage.

What helped me choose was looking at who could actually guide the early architecture instead of just coding on command, because that early structure saves so many headaches down the road; when I started comparing teams, I found that those with experience in Startups Web and App Development understood how to move fast without breaking the whole foundation, so the biggest win was choosing a team who treated the MVP as something that might scale, not something disposable.

Mənim üçün onlayn oyunlarda ən vacib məqam dürüstlük və oyunların rəngarəngliyidir. Uzun müddətdir ki, mellstroy casino platformasındakı canlı dilerlərlə blackjack oynayıram və hər dəfə peşəkar yanaşmanı hiss edirəm. Sonuncu dəfə bir neçə uğurlu əl sayəsində qazancımı ikiqat artırdım və dərhal hesabıma köçürülməsi məni çox məmnun etdi.
