Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading a lot about RF microneedling and its potential for improving skin texture, reducing fine lines, and treating acne scars. I’m curious about personal experiences. How effective is it really and how long do results typically last? Also, what is the recovery process like?
I’ve seen mixed reviews about discomfort, downtime, and the number of sessions needed. Are there any specific tips for choosing a clinic or practitioner to ensure safety and effectiveness? Any insights, before-and-after stories, or recommendations would be super helpful.
Thanks in advance!

Hi! I’ve had RF microneedling a few times, so I can share my experience. It’s generally effective for improving skin texture, reducing fine lines, and softening acne scars, but results vary depending on your skin type and the severity of the issues. Most people start seeing subtle improvements after the first session, with more noticeable results after 3–4 sessions spaced about 4–6 weeks apart.
I had my treatments at an RF microneedling Santa Monica clinic, and the recovery was usually mild redness and slight swelling for 1–3 days. Some people experience minor flaking or tenderness. Discomfort during the procedure can be managed with numbing cream.
When choosing a clinic, look for a certified practitioner with experience in RF microneedling, good before-and-after photos, and positive reviews. It’s also helpful to have a consultation to discuss your goals and skin concerns.
Overall, it’s worth it if you’re consistent and realistic about the outcomes!
