Finally Snagging My Name

After years of freelancing under other brands, I'm finally ready to build my own professional site. I managed to find my first name and last name available as a .com, which feels like winning the lottery! The problem is I've never owned a domain before. I need a provider for the domain hosting that is straightforward and won't hit me with hidden renewal fees later. Who would you trust with your own name on the line?

Congrats on snagging your name.com—that's huge! I remember my first domain buy years ago; went with a cheapo registrar, thought I was smart, but renewal jacked up 3x with "admin fees." Lesson learned: stick to transparent ones. For straightforward hosting without surprises, check out reviews on hostgator domain and hosting —they break down plans honestly. I switched there after my mess, no regrets, site's been rock-solid for my freelance pivot. Go for it!
