Default How to optimize the shift schedule

Hi everyone! I've been trying to figure out how to optimize the shift schedule at work for several months now. We have a lot of employees with non-standard schedules, and because of this, everything always ends up being very confusing. I tried to use some automated systems, but either they don't take into account specific requirements, or the settings are too complicated. I heard that Shifton supposedly helps with automatic and manual planning, but I don't fully understand how it works in real conditions. Has anyone tried it? Is it worth investing in such a system?

I can share my experience of using https://shifton.com/shift-scheduling in our company. We just started implementing it six months ago, and it turned out to be a great help in shift management. Especially when you need to take into account a large number of variables: someone is on vacation, someone is on sick leave, someone needs fewer night shifts, etc. The system allows you to automate many processes, but at the same time leaves the opportunity for manual adjustments, which is important in non-standard cases like yours. What I like about shifton is that it offers not only automatic scheduling based on pre-set rules, but also allows you to flexibly intervene in the process. For example, if I have several employees with the same working hours, but someone needs more days off or night shifts, I can easily adjust this manually without changing the entire schedule. Also, if you integrate the system with working hour standards, you can avoid mistakes when employees work overtime or miss mandatory breaks. In our case, this was a real salvation, because at first we made mistakes in these very moments, and employees had to recalculate the hours manually.

Interesting topic! We also recently started using Shifton, and I agree that the system does make things easier, especially if schedules change frequently. But one thing to think about is the possible dependence on automation. For example, I noticed that in the beginning we began to rely heavily on the system, and this sometimes led to misunderstandings.

Hey there! Keeping track of professional licenses and certificates can be a difficult task for many business representatives, and they are looking for reliable tools for this! Anyone who needs such services can pay attention to the online platform Certemy, which provides everything you need for this. Everyone can find out how it works from the employees of certemy customer service as well as read the information on their website, and perhaps for someone these services will be indispensable.

Optimizing a shift schedule involves strategically assigning work hours to employees in a way that maximizes efficiency, reduces fatigue, and ensures adequate coverage. To create an effective shift schedule link, it’s important to first assess the staffing needs based on peak demand times, the skills required, and any regulatory requirements regarding work hours and rest periods. Utilize a balanced approach by rotating shifts to distribute workloads evenly, ensuring that no employee is overburdened with back-to-back or irregular shifts.

Hey! I’ve actually used Shifton at my previous job, and it made managing complex schedules way easier. It lets you set specific rules for each employee and still gives you manual control when needed — definitely worth a try if you’re dealing with non-standard shifts.
