Hi everyone,
I've been reading up on somatic exercises for anxiety as a natural way to manage stress, and I'm curious about your experiences. It seems like these exercises focus on connecting the mind and body to relieve stress, which sounds promising.
For those who have tried somantic exercised for anxiety, which specific techniques have worked best for reducing anxiety? Also, how long did it take before you noticed a difference? Any tips for beginners just starting with these practices? I’d love to hear about any routines or resources you recommend!
Thanks for any insight!

Somatic exercises can be really helpful for anxiety. Techniques like progressive muscle relaxation, body scanning, and grounding exercises are effective for reducing angst stress. Gentle movement practices such as yoga or Tai Chi also help by combining breathwork and body awareness. Results vary, but many people feel a difference after a few sessions, and more noticeable changes can occur with consistent practice over several weeks. For beginners, start with short sessions (5–10 minutes) focusing on breath and body sensations. Resources like The Body Keeps the Score or apps like Insight Timer can offer good guidance.
