If we talk about renting, it is easier and cheaper to rent an apartment than a house. My husband and I lived in a rented apartment for a long time and recently managed to buy a house. I like living in a house better. We needed to upgrade the heating system and we ordered designer radiators from the Radiator Outlet. We also changed some furniture and painted the walls. Now we just enjoy living in the house and taking care of our garden. Living in a house is much more awesome than living in an apartment, but if it's your own house.

I like my own house better. A huge advantage is the space. For example, when we were renovating our house, we decided to add space by making a living room out of the basement. Also a huge plus is the absence of neighbors, both from above and below.
