Default Purple Charcoal Rice

Purple Charcoal Rice
Our journey began with the idea of reviving an old brick kiln located just 5km from the heart of Hoi An. This old kiln had been abandoned for nearly 20 years and was in a state of disrepair, so much so that it had been off-limits to visitors. From this kiln, the concept of Lò Gạch Cũ (Old Brick Kiln) was born. We created a café connected to the check-in area by a bamboo bridge, amidst fields of vibrant purple rice.

Through the trust and support of our valued customers near and far, Lò Gạch Cũ is now introducing a product that embodies the unique essence of our establishment - Purple Charcoal Rice. Our product guarantees three key criteria: no herbicides, no pesticides, and non-genetically modified organisms.

Purple Charcoal Rice is known for its high nutritional value, particularly its abundant anthocyanin content (a compound found in blueberries, eggplants, and various fruits and vegetables). This natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent offers potential benefits in reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and obesity.

Due to its high fiber and protein content, purple rice is also suitable for individuals with vegetarian diets and those aiming to lose weight. The ample fiber content helps promote a healthy digestive system, while the protein supports muscle development and regeneration.

Furthermore, purple rice provides an excellent source of iron, which is particularly beneficial for women. Even for men, iron plays a crucial role in controlling bodily movements and facilitating nerve impulse transmission. Additionally, iron aids in the production of red blood cells, preventing anemia and ensuring proper oxygen transport in the body.

Preparing purple rice is simple and can be enjoyed by everyone. To cook purple rice, rinse it thoroughly in cool water, about three to four times. Cook with a water-to-rice ratio of 1:2, adding a teaspoon of olive oil or butter and half a teaspoon of salt to enhance the flavor if desired. Purple rice can also be cooked with chicken broth, vegetable broth, or even coconut water for added sweetness. If the rice remains slightly firm after cooking, you can add ¼ cup of water and cook for an additional 10 minutes to achieve a softer texture.

Purple rice can be enjoyed alongside clean-eating dishes, in soups, or combined with yogurt, offering a versatile and nutritious culinary experience.

At Lò Gạch Cũ, we guarantee that our products deliver the best possible experience to our customers. Each grain of rice is meticulously sorted and undergoes rigorous quality control before reaching the market. With natural ingredients and vacuum-sealed packaging, our products ensure a bountiful source of goodness that you can confidently enjoy.

FAQs:

Can elderly individuals consume purple rice?
  • Absolutely! Purple rice is a highly nutritious product that contains antioxidants and GABA, a neurotransmitter that promotes relaxation and stress reduction. It also helps improve skin health and relax muscles. Additionally, its high calcium content contributes to bone health, making it an excellent choice for elderly individuals.
