Question Pregnant With Gestational Diabetes

I'm about 31 weeks along and just found out I have GD. I read from another expecting mother that she used this site to help keep track of her diet. Maybe I should wait until I talk to a dietician to post anything here...but curiosity is getting the best of me.

My sugar levels are a tad too high. With this in mind, how can this site help me if it only does a calorie count (at least that's what it seems to focus on). I've never had to watch my diet before or pay much attention to labels, so I'm pretty lost in that area.

Also, I obviously won't be losing any weight. In sum, I'm just wondering how I can use this site to help me-being pregnant and a little high on sugars?

Thanks for any help!

I have no experience with this, but I do know that a lot of diabetic and prediabetic folks are here to monitor the proportion of carbs, protein, and fat that they eat to keep it in line with what works best for their condition. Perhaps that is what the other person who mentioned it was referring to.
