Default Medical X-ray Film: The Indispensable "Eye of God" in Modern Medicine

Since its inception, X-ray films have always been one of the most important imaging diagnostic tools in medicine. Its ability to "see through" the human body has helped doctors detect and treat countless diseases, saving millions of lives.

Why are X-ray films so important?

• Accurate and comprehensive diagnosis: From broken bones, pneumonia, kidney stones, to cardiovascular diseases, cancer... X-ray films can provide detailed images, supporting accurate and quick diagnosis.

• Safe and less invasive: Compared to exploratory surgery, X-rays cause less pain and complications, and are safe for most people, including children and pregnant women (with appropriate dosage).
• Cost and time savings: The cost of X-rays is much lower than other modern imaging methods such as MRI or CT scan. The time to take and read the results is also quick, saving time for both patients and doctors.

• Widely available: Most hospitals and clinics, from central to grassroots levels, are equipped with X-ray machines, making it easy for patients to access the service.

Common types of X-ray films and applications:
• Conventional X-ray films (dry films, wet films): Most common, used to take X-rays of the chest, bones, joints, etc.

• Digital X-ray films: Provide higher image quality, easy to store and share.

• Fluorescence X-ray films: Allow immediate viewing of images, often used in surgery.

• Dental X-ray films: Specialized in taking pictures of teeth and surrounding structures.
In addition to diagnosing diseases, X-ray films are also used in:
• Treatment monitoring: Evaluating the effectiveness of cancer treatment, monitoring bone healing process...
• Surgical planning: Determining the exact location of tumors, foreign objects...
• Medical research: Studying the structure and function of the body.
Note: Although safe, frequent exposure to X-rays can be harmful to health. Therefore, it is necessary to follow the doctor's instructions when taking X-rays.

Conclusion: X-ray films are an indispensable "magic eye" in modern medicine, contributing greatly to improving the quality of public health care.
