Question question about food log

Hi!
I'm confused. If I peel my banana and then weigh it, do I add that to my food log as 6 oz or 6 oz yields?
Not sure if yield means the edible portion or the whole fruit.
Thank you for your help!

I think you just use the plain oz to get the calories for a peeled banana that you weigh. Yield probably means that if you weigh the banana complete with skin, and it weighs 6 oz, the calories for that piece of fruit will yield a certain number of ounces. Less than what you would get if you didn't have the skin still attached.
