newbie!
Hi everyone!
I am on day 3 of my journey to lose weight & get and STAY healthy! Little background: I am 47 years old, mom and wife. I have been overweight most of my life, but never obese like I am now and since menopause! I have lost weight in the past, say, 10 years ago and was able to maintain it for awhile.. however, life and stress, depression, etc., just made me turn to food. I ate when I wasn't hungry eating to the point of being over-full. Anyway, I am DONE with that! I am looking for supportive and positive people to connect with. Female/Male/Old/Young I do not care just people with a common goal!
I am 5'4" and tipping the scales at 228 lbs. I am in a size 18 jeans and they are tight :*(
I can't say that I have an "ideal" weight that I'm looking to get down to, but for now goal #1 is to get under 200 lbs! When that goal is met I will make a new goal!
Currently, I am keeping my calories at/around 1200-1400 per day, and I am doing basic exercises for now (on YOUTUBE I found fitness blender , beginner boot camp workout) and it really is perfect for me and my fitness level now! (I am moving very slow!).
I do know what works and what doesn't work for me, my issue is staying motivated. I am usually pretty good for a few weeks, then I fail and overeat and instead of realizing it's a mistake & getting back on track, I get down on myself and don't bother. I need to change my pattern of thinking!!!
I will be creating a diary here as soon as I figure out where to post it!
