Default How do I know if the weird spots on my screen are defective pixels or just screen?

Lately, I’ve noticed some strange spots on my screen, but I can’t tell if they’re defective pixels or just dust or smudges. How can I properly test for defective pixels without making the problem worse?

It can be tricky to tell the difference, but a defective pixel test can help you identify the problem. This tool https://allcolorscreen.com/defective-pixels-test/ lets you cycle through different color screens, which makes any stuck or dead pixels stand out clearly. If the spots remain visible regardless of the color displayed, it’s likely a defective pixel. However, if the spots go away when you clean your screen, then it’s just dirt or smudges. I used this test recently, and it quickly helped me figure out whether I needed to clean my screen or if I was dealing with a real pixel issue.
