Default Why do I need a tap water filter for my home, since water treatment plants?

We are living in the world of chemicals and every year1000's of chemicals get added to the list. Many of these are synthetic chemicals. Muncipal water treatment plants are built for long and they may not upgrade as and when new chemical is added. There are chemicals which highly dangerous to human health.

Water is conveyed in metal pipes and I myself never seen they are being replaced from my child hood. These old metal pipes will add Lead in to our water.

There are many reasons why we should have our own home filters - Not a simple water filters which can remove only suspended solids. But, a good RO (Reverse osmosis) filters must be used for filtering our water - which can remove dangerous chemicals including synthetic chemicals.

I believe that when choosing any kind of filters that are designed for water, it is best to use the 2 stage whole house filters here https://filterway.com/whole-house-sy...ation-systems/ , maybe you should also consider stage 2 or stage 3, I don’t know your needs, choose what suits you best, I answered your question, then the choice is yours.

In my opinion this is a useful thing, even too much.

I get why people are extra cautious about tap water these days — even if treatment plants do their job, the stuff still has to travel through old pipes before it gets to your glass. At home I just use a simple filter jug, nothing fancy, but at work they recently put in Aqua Libra taps and honestly, the difference is night and day. Chilled, filtered water on tap all day makes it so much easier to drink more without thinking about it. Makes me wonder if I should upgrade my setup at home too.
