2015 Easter Challenge
Since some of us are just starting back after the holidays, I think it's a good time for a challenge to recommit and to refocus! If you're one of the stronger willed individuals who managed to keep it together through the holidays....then kuddos to you! You are a rockstar! But you still need to join in on the Easter challenge :p
Post your Easter goal weight and then check back here often and most importantly, post your accomishment every Friday! (Seems like a good check in day since many of us weigh in on Fridays) This challenge is meant to inspire and motivate! Even if you don't hit your goal, you can hold your head high knowing you did all you could! It's been my experience that setting mini goals helps to propel us forward :). The challenge starts as soon as you post your intentions and ends on Good Friday. Hope you'll join me! |
I'm aiming to see 129 lbs. by Good Friday! That's 16.6 lbs. in 3 months. A lofty goal, but I'm going to do my very best to hit it!
|
Hi Debbie. I will join you on the Easter challenge. My weight today is 191.4 and my goal is 180. Let's do this.
I have revised my Easter Challenge Goal to 170. I want to lose 21.4 pounds in 12 weeks. That is almost 2 pounds a week. With some hard work I should be able to do it. |
I weighed in at 265 last Friday, and I would like to be 240 lbs by Good Friday :) I will weigh in each week, starting with this one. It's definitely a big goal at 25 lbs, but I have lots to lose so the first bit should come off pretty easy :)
|
Welcome Paisley :) Glad you can join us! That's a big goal you've set for yourself! I set a pretty big one myself, but I figure even if I don't exactly hit it, I'll still do my very best to get there!
"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." |
I'll join in!
My Goal is to be in the 250's! I know this will be a huge undertaking, but if I don't raise the bar, I will not meet it! Better get out my food scale :D |
Yay! Glad you're joining in Bea! :D I feel the same way...raising the bar gives us something to strive for!
|
No goal other than lower than now.
|
I'll also join in with a lofty goal. Since we're doing it on Fridays, I'll post last Friday's weight (I weigh everyday).
1/2/15 - 336.6 (actual) 4/3/15 - 299.0 (goal) I know that's a fairly large goal of 37.6 lbs in 13 weeks but that's really only 3 lbs a week which, with hard work, is completely doable. :) I really want to be down in the "2's" by my birthday which is the end of April. Good luck everyone! |
Glad you're joining in Christy! all the best reaching not only your Easter goal, but also your birthday goal!

Libby, I LOVE the idea of our group collectively losing 100 lbs. by Easter. What great motivation! :D
Debbie, thanks for starting the list of our start and goal weights. Nice to see how much company we have! :D Paisleyjane, CSmith, and ohelp, looking forward to getting to know you. I hope you will also be posting on our weekly motivational thread. :) Everyone else, thanks for doing this with us. :) |

I'll weigh in the morning and post. I was at 293.6 at last weigh-in on 1/1--no +/- over the Christmas holidays. I'd like to be at 270, I think! Vicki
|
Good morning Easter Challengers! Looks like we're off to a good start and as Mern said, we've got lots of company! There are 10 of us in on the challenge so hitting a group weight loss goal of 100 lbs. lost seems almost too doable! Each of us have a goal of more than 10 lbs. Currently our combined goals add up to 221.8 lbs. What does everyone think of upping that group goal to 150 lbs. or even 170 lbs.? Let me know you votes! :)
Vicki - I added in your 1/1 weigh in stat and your goal weight to the list below. I think many weigh on Fridays, so the last weigh would be 1/2...only 1 day after your weigh in. Hope it's okay that I used those numbers...if not feel free to change it! Becca - Still waiting for you to join in the fun! ;) 01gt4.6 - Start 211.6 Goal 199.9 (11.7 lbs.) ummmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe stick with the 100 lol
For some reason I succeeded in gaining 4 pounds since yesterday!!! GO ME All temporary |
Hello! Is it too late to join?
Hi! I'd like to join the challenge if it isn't too late. I need some people to keep me motivated and accountable. I can justify cheating on my diet and skipping workouts WAY too easily if I have no one to report too :D Also, I have a Florida trip scheduled for the end of April, so Easter is a perfect time to hit my goal weight.
My start weight was 141 on Jan 1 and my Easter goal is 130. Right now I'm tracking my calories and trying to stay at or below 1500. My nightly glass of two of wine is really making this tough. I may have to give it up - boo hoo!! I will start exercising next week. Yes, I really will ;) Pranava |
Hi all. I didn't think we would have so many people in the challenge. This is great. We may still get some more and I think we could go for a group loss of 200 pounds with more people joining. This is wonderful.

Pranava - Welcome! Def not too late to join in on the fun ;) I too LOOOOOVE a nice glass of wine (or 2...some days even 3! ;)) but I'm giving it up at least for now. I know the scale barely moves for me if I have any wine. Be sure to check back in on this thread each Friday and feel free to join in on the Weekly Motivation thread for motivation and accountability.
Bea - Oooh! 4 lbs. in 1 day! That can only mean 1 thing...water weight! It'll be gone in no time flat! 01gt4.6 - Start 211.6 Goal 199.9 (11.7 lbs.) So glad to see everyone excited for this challenge. I'm really excited for it as well. Some great goals have been posted.
Challenge accepted!! |
I stuck this thread up top so it'll be easy to find.

Vicki - You're off to an awesome start!! Great job! Be sure to post back on Friday for the official Easter Challenge weigh in.
Christy - After gaining back all I lost last year, I'm looking forward to this challenge! I like setting short term goals...feels less daunting than looking too far ahead. Thank you and thank you everyone else for joining in on the fun! Mike - Thanks for the sticky ;) |
I'll join in on the fun. I hate it when there's a party without me! :p Seriously though, I don't really know what to put for a goal. I'm still trying to get things turned around since my 6-8wk binge that gained me 11 lbs back. Last Friday I think I was 253 or 254. I guess I'd really like to lose the 11 I regained. I'll just make it an even 240.

Good morning challengers! I just wanted to take a moment to encourage everyone to take measurements and/or photos. There's more than the scale as a measurement of progress. We all know that sometimes we lose inches even if the scale doesn't reflect it. So take measurements and/or photos so you have other ways to measure your progress!
Have an awesome day all! :) |
I went to aqua fit last night and it was a real work out. My abbs and back are sore and I will be doing it again tomorrow. Today I am going to do a light hand weight work out. Every bit of exercise helps. I am eating better and drinking more water. When I eat well I want to exercise too. They just go together. My calories were just over 1000 yesterday but I don't know how many calories I burned. All is well and on track so far.

Have an awesome day all! :) To be honest, it was the hardest thing to do, but once the weight started falling off, I was glad I did because I really could see my progress. |
