Default Recipe - Energy Bites

Energy Bites
Makes 3 Dozen

1 cup oats
2/3 cup toasted coconut flakes
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup ground flaxseed or wheat germ
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Stir all ingredients together in a medium bowl until thoroughly mixed. Chill for 30 minutes in the fridge before rolling into 1" balls (or the size you like). Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.

this looks good, debbie. I think I'll have to try it. Do you by any chance know the nutritional values for 1 of them?

I was curious about the nutritional info too. Found this recipe online that's very similar. Looks like it's about 148 cal per energy ball. More info here-- No Bake Energy Bites Recipe - Food.com - 473258

Jenai - I don't have the nutritional info on this one. I make them for my son, so I never plug in the info here on fitday. I make the Cookie Dough Bites for myself

JohnCecil - The vanilla extract is not necessary. Adapt the recipe to your liking!
