How do you enter foods that you don't know

I've been using FitDay for a while. I am very consistent during the weeks when I make most of my food. On the weekends, I go out to eat and I don't know how to log that. Especially for restaurants that don't give nutritional values. Then I tend to eat too much because I know I won't be logging it.
Should I just make my best guess?
How do other people do this?

Personally, I never leave anything out of my log, good, bad or ugly.
Try to estimate the portions as best you can. If the restaurant has nutrish info, use it. If not, find the closest thing you can to what you ate. Really, even a WAG is far better than simply "forgetting" about it.
Just MHO. The closer to the "truth" your FitDay log is, the more effective a tool it is to help reach your goals.
